For years actor Stephen Collins has been best known for his role as Reverend Eric Camden on the hit series 7th Heaven. The 67 year old who has also worked as a writer, director, and musician has held a special place in the hearts of 7th Heaven fans everywhere.  However, recent reports have unearthed some disturbing news about this seemingly nice guy.  Earlier this week, news broke that Collins had been tape recorded admitting to having inappropriate contact with several young girls in the past.  These allegations, which apparently are not the first of their kind, come amidst Collins’ divorce from, Faye Grant, his wife of 27 years. While Grant once had possession of the tape, she insists that she had nothing to do with leaking it to the public and has since issued a statement saying, “I woke up today to learn that an extremely private recording I handed over to authorities in 2012 per their request in connection with a criminal investigation was recently disseminated to the press…I had no involvement whatsoever with the release of the tape to the media.”  However, Collins has yet to speak out on the issue.  This information comes as a shock to fans who knew and loved Collins for the entertaining characters he portrayed.  For those who still want to remember him as such, here are Stephen Collins’ best  Television roles.
