Pixar Reveals Plot for Next Movie ‘Inside Out’

The Hopkins Center For The Arts At Dartmouth College Presents "A Tribute To Pixar"

It seems like yesterday Pixar was that quirky name in animated movies. No one really could have foreseen that it would become the giant it is today. And when we say giant we mean animation studio worth well over $10 billion. We also mean that when they announce they’re launching a new movie – we report on it.

Speaking of which, Pixar’s new movie Inside Out is scheduled to be released in June of 2015. The theme of the movie is somewhat introspective – literally meaning inside the head of an 11-year old girl named Riley. Riley is going through a little bit of a tough time, but has her emotions Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith). All these characters inside Riley’s head… sounds like fun!

Like we said, announcing a Pixar film over a year out before its release is going to be relatively commonplace. Just think of the impact movies like Toy Story and Frozen have had on the box office. Froze itself has grossed over $1 billion worldwide. The animated studio has surely come a long way and it doesn’t look like there is any turning back at this point. Looking forward to Inside Out!
