If you had to choose between fortune and fame, which would you choose? Most people would probably choose fortune. But, in most cases, they go hand in hand, but unfortunately some people are only lucky enough to get one. While being famous may seem like a pretty sweet deal, not having the money to go along with it can definitely put a huge damper on the experience. After all, while no one expects rich people to be famous, most people expect famous people to be rich. Sure, these stars may be able to skip the line at the hottest club, and may have plenty of people who know their name and face, but sometimes that isn’t enough to pay the bills. Here are 10 celebrities who have plenty of fame but no fortune.
During his time in the NBA, Allen Iverson became one of the most popular players in the league. His crazy crossover and ability to blow by any defender quickly made him a fan favorite. Iverson landed a huge deal with Reebok which produced several sneakers and other Iverson apparel. Throughout the years he has been considered one of the most influential professional basketball players in recent years. But even after building a multi-million dollar fortune, years of partying and irresponsibility have left Iverson’s pockets more than a little on the empty side.

You probably expect Lindsay Lohan to be rolling in the dough. After all, she was once one of the most promising young stars in Hollywood. After a successful career as a child star, many saw great things in her future. Sadly, Lohan has still yet to live up to her full potential. Years of legal and substance abuse issues have really damaged Lohan’s career, and as a result have seriously effected her potential to land big time roles.

Parker, Anderson seemed to have mastered the art of looking good and making lots of money because of it. However, not even a successful career and several high-profile relationships were able to keep Anderson in the spotlight. After a while, her star began to fade – and so did her wealth. After years of not paying her taxes, Anderson was forced to sell her home and file for bankruptcy. Ouch!

Unfortunately; however, nothing good lasts forever. By the time his pro career came to an end, Owens had racked up a considerable amount of debt and found himself dealing with some serious financial issues. Child support payments totaling in at about $50,000 and a $500,000 tax lien forced Owens to sell some of his properties. These days, Owens is still struggling, and some websites have listed his net worth at an astonishing $0.

Over the course of her career, Dickinson was able to work with some of the best photographers in the world and travel all over the globe. At a time when rap music was still struggling to find footing, Hammer’s brand of clean but catchy rap caught the attention of a mainstream audience.
