Kevin Smith being interviewed at Comic-Con 2014

Screenwriter/producer/director, Kevin Smith, is a force to be reckoned with in the entertainment industry.  The multi-talented New Jersey native has worked on some of the most popular cult classics including Clerks and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.  Smith gained mainstream fame in 1994 with the release of his debut film, Clerks.  The film, which was written and directed by Smith, also featured him in the role of Silent Bob.   The film grossed more than $3 million, and is considered one of the best comedy films of its generation.  Throughout his career, Smith has continued to create unique films, and in 2013 he stated: “From now until I drop dead, I’m only ever gonna make a flick that only I would/could ever make.”  Now, with the third installment to the Clerks series on its way, Smith is living up to his statement.

However, when he isn’t busy creating ideas or working on a film set, Smith, like most people, enjoys spending time in front of the computer.  With more than two and a half million Twitter followers, Smith has carved out a social networking niche that has allowed him to communicate with his fans in a medium other than film.  Here are five of the best Kevin Smith Twitter posts.
