Anyone who was lucky enough to grow up in the late 90s and early 2000s remembers all of the joys accompanied with using the internet – dial up of course.  There was nothing better than instant messaging, asking Jeeves, and last but certainly not least, playing the thousands of free online games that were readily available.  While most millenials have fallen out of touch with the world of free Flash and Java games, a whole new generation of free fun loving internet users are currently enjoying a few games of their own, and who would make a better game subject than one of the music industry’s most popular and well liked celebrities, Taylor Swift. The Country music star turned pop icon, who has already released five studio albums and earned four Grammy Awards.

While there are several Taylor Swift themed games floating around the internet, the game, “Taylor Swift Beauty Salon,” is one of the best and easiest to play.  “Taylor Swift Beauty Salon” lets players give T. Swift a make over by using their mouse to select different beauty products.   Before starting the game, users can scroll to the bottom to get a brief set of instructions and read the game’s details which say: “Taylor Swift is back, girls! She finally figured out that she’s not going to make any extra money for harassing small companies! And that means we can give her a nice celebrity makeover! Get rid of those freckles and style her hair!” Essentially, this game allows players to do the impossible; make Taylor Swift even better than she already is.

Although it’s details offer serve up a bit of a backhanded compliment, “Taylor Swift Beauty Salon” seems to be a hit amongst young girls and several users have commented that the game is “awesome.” Although the game allows players to essential do the impossible, make Taylor Swift even better than she already is, it reinforces the idea of creativity and imagination – two things Swift would probably be proud to support.
