Pop star Lady Gaga is best known for her eccentric style and entertaining performances. In 2008 when Gaga released her debut album, The Fame, fans quickly fell in love with Gaga’s catchy music and quirky persona. As her career continued Gaga to amuse audiences with her flamboyant outfits and creative routines. While Gaga is best known for musical abilities, the 28 year old initially wanted to be a theater performer who specialized in acting. With a strong acting background and the ability to pull in large captive audiences, it is no surprise that whenever Gaga takes the stage on NBC’s Saturday Night Live (SNL) , she leaves her mark. Although Gaga has quite a few skits under her belt; here is a list of her funniest SNL moments.
5. Lady Gaga and R.Kelly do what they want.
During the SNL performance of their song “Do What You Want” R.Kelly and Lady Gaga entertained guests with some up-close and personal dance moves. The pair’s routine including lots of intimate and acrobatic dance moves, showing the audience that the two could maintain an entertaining sense of humor while performing.
4. Lady Gaga plays Apple Genius.
During this skit, Lady Gaga appeared as an extremely geeky Apple Store Genius bar employee who was fortunate enough to appear on the fictitious talk show, Waking Up With Kimye. Gaga’s character, Karen, who was invited to Kimye’s show to discuss fashion shyly let the world know her feelings towards those who are overly obsessed with their looks, delivering the line “I think people who try too hard with their outfits are maybe hiding something.”
3. Fourth Grade School Talent Show
In this skit Gaga plays the role of an overzealous parent, who, in an attempt to help her young daughter prepare for her talent show, gets a little out of hand. Gaga and her on screen husband, John Milhiser, even perform a little dance routine as they act out their roles as overly involved parents.
2. Endless Buzz
During hilarious skit Lady Gaga shows up on stage alongside fellow pop star, Justin Timberlake. The two are both dressed in ridiculous costumes with Gaga dressed as some sort of bottle cork. The two then begin to sing their own rendition of “Endless Love,” which they fittingly have retitled, “Endless Buzz.”
1. Child Actors II
“At an acting camp for serious kids,” Lady Gaga played the role of a young actress with braces and pig tails reenacting some of Denzel Washington’s parts on Training Day. The skit also remade other popular on-screen hints like Forrest Gump and Breaking Bad.
