Did the Apology at the End of the Justin Bieber Comedy Central Roast Mean Anything?

Justin Bieber isn’t exactly an unknown face; he’s one of the most famous young people in the world. He’s been part of our lives for years now, since he was barely a teen with shaggy hair and a sweet disposition. But like many young stars who practically grow up in the spotlight, Bieber chose to take the pate most taken and has been in a lot of trouble in the past few years. He’s been arrested, he drinks, he’s been suspected of using drugs, he’s covered his body in tattoos and he’s made some questionable decisions as a whole. His life is spiraling out of control and his parents seem to be completely unphased by the fact that their 21-year-old son is making a mess of his life. And that’s where the Justin Bieber Comedy Central Roast comes into play; a bevy of celebs you might not expect came forward to mock and make fun of Bieber while he stood by and watched – often in humiliation.

The act of being Roasted gives Hollywood comedians and celebrities the chance to say the meanest and nastiest things they can come up with to celebrities who have been making some mistakes, and those who are notorious for being against the mean words spoken about them. Even Martha Stewart took the stage to roast Bieber, and she’s got a criminal record longer than his. The insults flew for two hours, and the end of the roast ended with an apology to his fans and a promise to do better. We do think that Bieber has been working on his image as of late and he’s trying to get back in the good graces of his fans. And we do see some sincerity in his words and his personality. He always comes across with people such as Ellen DeGeneres as very polite and very kind, and it’s hard for us to imagine that he’s really the bad boy he’s trying to be or if he’s just making bad decisions based on the people around him. Either way, the roast was hilarious and the apology at the end did come across as sincere.
