A Look Inside Project Runway from the Eyes of Dmitry Sholokhov

Project Runway

If you’re not a fan of Project Runway, you might not know the name Dmitry Sholokhov. If you’re a fan of fashion, however, you will recognize this name. He’s the talented, genius designer who took home the prize as top designer in season 10 of the hit television reality show and he returned for a second chance at the same title in the All-Star version (the fourth round). He took home a second title, which is just impressive enough as it is, when he beat out the other all-stars with his prolific designs and his keen eye for fashion. What we love about Sholokhov is that all of his designs are so modern and fashion-forward, and they always seem to impress the judging panel just a bit more than everyone else. The tall, talented designer is someone we’ve now seen twice on television, yet he’s someone we know so little about. We thought we might share a few pieces of information about Dmitry Sholokhov you didn’t already know.

It Feels Different to Win All-Stars

He states that he feels like it was a much bigger accomplishment to win the all-star season of his reality show because he’s up against the best of the best. He though that competing against the people in his own season was difficult enough, but this was a whole new level of talent and challenge. He prevailed, however.

The Cameras are Always On

Sholokhov states that no matter when and where you are in this reality series, there are always cameras on and rolling. There is never a time in which the cameras are off and you can just relax and not worry about how you look, what you say and how you present yourself to the world. It’s a stressful situation.

He’s Incredible

There is something to be said about a man who knows the value of his work and his talent, and Sholokhov certainly recognizes his own genius. He understands that he is a mad genius who is good at what he does. He uses the word “incredible” to describe his work and all that he does in the fashion industry.
