Victoria Gotti Faked Cancer and Other Facts You Didn’t Know

Victoria Gotti

She’s made headlines countless times in her life, some of her more famous moments most recently happening when she made a guest appearance on the Real Housewives of New Jersey telling family secrets – but not about her famous family. Instead, she spilled secrets to the newly imprisoned Teresa Giudice and cancer survivor, Amber Marchese, that one of the twins from the most recent season of the show, Teresa Aprea’s husband had a relationship with her mother. It was a moment no one from that show will ever forget. Especially since none of those women can let go of anything (apparently they haven’t been taking Elsa’s advice).  Regardless, Victoria Gotti is the daughter of famed mobster John Gotti, and her family has been well-known for many years. Her family was feared and revered when she was growing up, and she was someone everyone in the New York area knew. But there might be a few things about the former mob boss’ daughter that you didn’t know.

She’s Faked Cancer

Victoria Gotti announced in 2005 that she was suffering from breast cancer, only to have to later admit that she didn’t actually have cancer, she just had precancerous cells. This is the reason – so it is said – that her reality show was cancelled from television. The bad press from a story this big was killer.

She Lost her Home in 2009

Despite the fact that she’s always been a very wealthy woman, she lost her home to foreclosure in 2009. People have wondered for years where the family money went, especially since she’s never without a designer bag, shoes or shopping bags in her arms.

She’s a Former Columnist

Did you know that once upon a time Victoria Gotti was a columnist for one of the most famous papers in the world? That is correct; she was a columnist for the New York Times, whether you want to believe it or not. She’s an intelligent woman who has written several books, so she should not be underestimated.
