ABC Announces New Bachelor

Bachelor fans have been eagerly awaiting the announcement of next season’s bachelor. After Andi Dorfman, former bachelorette, said goodbye to Chris Soules, the adorable Iowa farmer, after hometown dates last season, the world was hoping he’d be the new bachelor.

The news is good, bachelor fans; Chris is, indeed, going to be handing out roses to 25 lucky women in the upcoming season of The Bachelor.

“It’s still very surreal. It’s going to be very difficult, but I just want to be very open-minded and have fun and get to know these women,” he says of accepting the role as the new bachelor. Based on the fan’s response at the Men Tell All special during the Bachelorette, there will be plenty of women jumping on board to meet the new bachelor. He might not have any problem finding the woman of his dreams with the response his announcement has received to this point.

He’s ready to find love, ladies. Soules has accepted the fact that he didn’t find it with Andi – or more to the point; she didn’t find it with him.

“I fell in love with Andi and go to a point where I really saw that potential…the fact that it works makes me confident that being the bachelor will work for me,” he says of his feelings for Andi and his desire to move on and find what he originally set out to find; true love. And ladies, don’t worry; finding love with Chris doesn’t necessarily mean moving to Iowa.

“First and foremost, I want to fall in love and find that person that is truly my soul mate. I’m willing to compromise, but I just have to find that person I want to compromise for,” he says of finding a woman who will want to move to Iowa and become the wife of a farmer.
