ABC’s Once Upon a Time Announces Frozen Characters

Once Upon a Time is one of primetime’s most popular series, spinning off the characters and storylines from many of the most famous Disney movies in the world. The show debuted in 2011 and has continued to keep fans on the edge of their seats with new characters and new twists to old storylines. With characters such as Jenifer Goodwin’s Snow White and Emilie de Ravin as Belle, the show has a top-notch cast. At the end of last season, fans were delighted to catch a glimpse of one of Disney’s newest and most popular princesses, Elsa, from the hit movie Frozen.

Seeing Elsa (whose part has yet to be cast) appear in the season finale got fans excited, and they’ve been speculating for months as to who will play the other main characters from Frozen when the new season premieres this fall. Fans need not wait any longer; the roles of Anna and Kristoff have been cast – and no, the newly pregnant Kristen Bell will not be reprising her role as the voice of Anna.

Once Upon a Time’s Kristoff will be played by Scott Michael Foster. The 29-year-old actor previously had roles on hit shows such as Chasing Life and Greek. Anna will be played by Elizabeth Lail, a new actress. We are all still waiting to find out who will take over the role of Elsa, the Ice Queen, and how the show will portray her character and her relationship with her sister.

According to sources at ABC, the Anna in Once Upon a Time will play a strikingly similar role to her animated counterpart, always favoring her relationship with Elsa over anything else. It’s being reported that Kristoff will maintain his animated personality, though he’s now a permanent resident in the castle the sisters share in Storybrooke.
