The Carrie Diaries Cancelled by The CW

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall 2014 - Official Coverage - Best Of Runway Day 1

I think we jinxed AnnaSophia Robb. Earlier this week we praised the young actress for being adorable and having a bright career ahead of her. Now she’s unemployed… for the minute. According to reports, The CW series ‘The Carrie Diaries’ has been cancelled by the network. The ‘Sex and the City’ prequel starring Robb as a young Carrie Bradshaw navigating love in the early 1980s will not return for a third season. Apparently, The CW was purging itself of all its underperforming shows. They also cut ‘The Tomorrow People’ and ‘Star-Crossed’. The good news is ‘Beauty and the Beast’, ‘Hart of Dixie’, and ‘The 100’ were renewed.

While it may be a sad day for AnnaSophia, who spent last week prancing around Washington, D.C. with Emile Hirsch. We’re more than confident that she will land with her feet up. Hollywood experts have expressed that she has a career in film. While it might not be a starring, leading lady career she should act for quite a long time.

Our sincerest apologies for ‘The Carrie Diaries’ fans. Does this mean we are completely rid of Carrie Bradshaw? Probably not!
