CBS cautions Grammy performers not to expose themselves on TV

Note to celebrities: please keep your clothes on! That’s what an e-mail from CBS to those involved in Sunday night’s Grammys broadcast said in so many words.

Deadline.com got a copy of the missive sent from CBS Standards and Practices to the night’s performers and presenters. The e-mail goes into excruciating detail as to what must be covered, including “bare fleshy under curves of the buttocks and buttock crack” and “[b]are sides or under curvature of the breasts.” Appropriate clothing was also outlined, including a ban on “sheer see-through clothing that could possibly expose female breast nipples.”

Honestly we’re at a point that you just have to laugh at this stuff.   Performers have to be told not to get naked on network television?  I mean really?  Just get your butts over to Showtime, HBO, or Cinemax if it’s so important to you to show some skin.   Whatever happened to just singing and people enjoying your singing?

Are the Grammy’s now a forum for aging men and women to prove they still have the goods?  Clearly this warning from CBS agrees with my sentiment.   Check out the letter at Fox News.
