Robin Roberts Is Returning to Good Morning America on February 20th

Good Morning America announced Thursday that Roberts will return to the show as of Feb. 20. Following a successful bone-marrow transplant in September 2012 to treat myelodysplastic syndrome, a rare blood disorder, Roberts, 52, took a medical leave.

“What a difference a year makes,” Roberts said. “I cannot wait to return to my GMA family. It’s going to be an incredible morning in Times Square. The overwhelming thoughts and prayers of the viewers have played a major part in getting me here today. I cannot thank everyone enough.”

We couldn’t be happier for Roberts and her recovery.   Roberts took to Twitter to express her excitement and had a well deserved day at the beach to reflect on her blessings.   I think that’s something we should all probably do on a daily basis but rarely do.  Even if for five minutes.   Sometimes we just don’t understand how precious life is until we see it taken away or deteriorated in front of our eyes.   Good for you Robin.  Can’t wait to see you on the airwaves.
