After 5 seasons and watching her grow up virtually in front of our eyes, MTV’s Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer is leaving the franchise. The star tweeted that she’s decided to leave the show earlier today. The 22-year-old reality star decided that it’s just time for her to move on and go on with her life, and she did so in the middle of a tweet with a fan on her Twitter page.
“Are you doing season 6?” was the question tweeted to Messer by a fan, to which the star replied, “No.” It’s a short, sweet and completely to the point answer that the start gave to her fans, and she’s happy to know that this is the end of the road for her.
The 22-year-old mother of three then apologized to her followers. She has 5-year-old twins and a 21-month-old daughter. She believes that her costars are going to continue filming the show, and she thinks that they will continue to thrive in their roles as television stars and young mothers. She’s been very cryptic on Twitter lately, posting messages about big decisions in her life and asking for prayers because things are changing.
Everyone who is a fan of the show knows that it’s been a rough year for Messer, especially considering she’s having a nasty custody battle with her ex-husband, Corey Simms. She’s fighting to keep her kids with her and she’s also in the middle of a big fight with her second husband, whom she continuously argues with via twitter about rumors he is cheating on her. It was reported earlier in the fall that the star was coming back for the sixth season, but MTV has not said anything so far about the fact that the star might be leaving the show, so we can expect that shortly.
