Faith Hill is one of the most beloved names in all of country music. Her relationship with singer Tim McGraw is also one of the most well known in all of entertainment. While Faith hasn’t been on the map as much as she used to be, she’s still as beautiful and delightful as ever. While the photo on the left sans make up doesn’t look like Faith Hill at all, we’re gonna let this one slide and just call it a “I just woke up” moment.

In what came as shocking news a while back, McCord revealed that she had a major skin disorder. So while this picture of her without make up may come as a shock to most people, it’s actually a great picture for all the young women and men out there who struggle with skin issues. McCord has been very open about it and increased awareness as well. Clearly she can rock the make up look like no other but we’re proud of her for sharing the no make up look as well.
Sharon Stone
Sharon Stone was once know as one of the hottest actresses of the early 90s. Her sultry role in Basic Instinct took her into instant superstardom. But now that she’s in her 60s she’s even more feminine and powerful than ever. Stone is 100% proud of her looks, body, and everything else. Even without make up she can easily compete with women half her age in the beauty department
Jennifer Lawrence
If feels as if Jennifer Lawrence has been around forever. If there’s one woman who couldn’t care less what people think it’s her. The Hunger Games star has always been known to go her own way and will continue to do so. Without make up she does look a little different than what we’re used to but we’d be happy to look like with or without make up. Wonder what she’s drinking there.
Kelly Osbourne
The picture on the left is certainly not a full representation of who Kelly Osborne is. In fact it’s kind of shocking to even see (hence why we put it up here). But Kelly has definitely cleaned herself up over the years becoming one of the foremost fashion critics and creators out there. We wouldn’t be surprised to see her with her own talkshow at some point. Make up or not, she’s a force to be reckoned with.
Nicolette Sheridan
Sheridan has been a famous figure for over 30 years but came back into the spotlight during her time on Desperate Housewives. Sheridan was one of the most sultry 40s women at the time but received some criticism for her non make up look. People claimed all kinds of surgery and injection. No matter what claims are true, she’s in phenomenal shape. However we do agree that the photo on the left isn’t one of her best.
Tyra Banks
Ms. Banks has been in the public eye for her looks and weight for over a decade now. No matter what the criticisms are, Banks is always proud and always stands up for herself. Banks will always be beautiful and a supermodel until the end. Even without make up we could see her hitting the cover of a number of magazines. It’s just too bad there are so many cynics out there
Hilary Duff
Hilary Duff has had a nice career resurgence as she’s now starring on the show “Younger.” We’ve seen Hilary since her child acting and singing days and she’s handled the public pretty well. When Hilary takes the make up off she looks stunning, virtually the same as she does when the make up is on. In most cases coffee doesn’t seem to have the greatest effect on looks but it doesn’t seem to affect Hilary in the slightest.
Beyonce
She’s the most powerful woman in music. She’s a leader. She’s confident. She’s a natural beauty, and no matter how many pictures people catch of Beyonce without make up on, it’s not going to change a thing. Just as beautiful being made up as without. No matter what outfit or look Beyonce brings to the table, people are going to notice, and rarely will she get criticized, and rightfully so.
Katie Couric
For a woman who is closing in on 60 it’s pretty hard to figure out how this woman does it. Kouric is a well respected journalist but also inspiration to women around the globe. Even without make up and those stylish glasses she manages to keep looking like she’s in her 30s. Where can we pick up a pair of those?
Mila Kunis
The picture to your left is probably one of the most famous Mila Kunis pictures of all time. Obviously she doesn’t look her best there but we’d venture to guess it was early in the morning, she may have been sick and she STILL looks good! And now after being a mother Mila has a different kind of glow and beauty about her that only mothers can have. She’s a true inspiration.
Lady Gaga
One thing we know about Lady Gaga is that she’s always going to go her own way. Whether it’s an outfit that will make everyone second guess her or she’s coming out au naturale you’ll always get something real from Gaga. She used to be crazy with the make up but lately she’s been showing more and more of that beautiful face without the aid of make up.
Nicole Richie
She’s one person that rarely looks different whether she’s wearing make up or not. Ritchie has evolved from a reality star to a virtual fashion icon. Now that she’s a mother she’s got a new perspective on life and a maturity we hadn’t seen from her in the past. We think she’s cute as a button with or without the make up.
Kathy Griffin
We must admit here that Griffin tends to wear a ton of make up and has been doing so for the majority of her career. So when we did in fact come across this picture of Griffin it did come as a shock. Putting the two pictures side by side it would make it difficult to recognize her on the street without make up.
Khloe Kardashian
It’s hard to keep up with the Kardashians. It’s even harder to keep up with Khloe. She’s worked on herself both appearance wise and physically for the last decade or so in the spotlight. We must say she’s come a long way and looks fantastic now. You never know what you’re going to get with Khloe but one thing’s for certain, millions of people will be following whatever she does.
Anne Hathaway
There are many that argue that Anne Hathaway looks cuter without make up. We’d have to agree. While the actress looks stunning wearing gowns, dresses, and dolls herself up for awards shows, she’s just as gorgeous when she’s getting a coffee sans make up. Even at her “worst” she still looks her best and we can’t wait to see whatever she’s working on next.
Snooki
The Snooki that began on Jersey Shore and the Snooki you see now are two completely different people. She lost over 30 lbs since the show aired many years ago. She’s now a mother of 2 and a virtual media mogul. Snooki managed to turn her TV fame in a lucrative business and brand. And frankly, we think she’s adorable with or without make up.
Milla Jovovich
People always forget that Jovovich was a model before she was an actress. And when you are a model you must look good both with and with out make up. Jovovich can do either seamlessly as you can see by these photos. It’s hard to believe that Jovovich has been in the public eye for nearly 30 years now. She just continues to amaze.
Kim Kardashian
When you really think about it, Kim was one of the pioneer’s in taking selfies without make up. While Kim made up looks absolutely stunning, without it she looks just as good. Kim’s got a natural glow with or without cosmetics. But if anyone need follow a person who can pull off both looks and advise others on how to do so, they should look no further than Kim Kardashain without make up (or with it!)
Demi Lovato
Demi has been struggling with weight and appearance issues for her entire career. But it’s just in the last 2-3 years that she’s really come into her own. She’s now 100% proud of who she is, what she looks like and the world is loving it. Whether it’s a ton of make up for a show or it’s just snapping a selfie in sweat, Demi is proud of any look she has, and should be.
Katy Perry
This is one singer who couldn’t care less about what you think. Perry’s been as dolled up and made up as anyone has ever seen. And yet she’s also completely up front about her appearance at any time of day which includes first thing in the morning and without any clothes on. We think either look is sexy and we’re glad that Perry shares both make up shots and glam ones too
Maria Shriver
The once wife of Arnold Schwarzenegger always gets a bad rap for some of her make up less shots. But frankly these were all taken at really bad moments. So yeah, they’re a bit shocking but let’s not forger that Shriver is a Kennedy and once a Kennedy always a Kennedy. She’s a strong women with a strong look and she’ll always be a symbol of strength in the female community.
Pamela Anderson
It’s hard to believe that the former Baywatch beauty is closing in on 50 years old but she’s still going strong. While we have to admit she looks strikingly different with make up than without it, it doesn’t matter. She’s still a knockout and we look forward to any cameos she might have in the new Baywatch movie.
Barbie
Part of us is putting this here as a joke but part of us isn’t. Barbie is a true symbol of what’s wrong with the perception of what pretty should be. So when someone came out with this makeup less Barbie, many people were relieved. While it was a little too embellished, a true Barbie without make up would be a total relief. Surprised they haven’t come out with an official “out of bed” Barbie yet.
Kelly Brook
The Sketchers model from Britain rarely has a bad moment. And from the looks of these two pictures, won’t have one anytime soon. Brook looks great even in a robe in the morning, which is what she’s wearing in the picture to the left. Doesn’t matter. She looks fantastic and we’d welcome a breakfast with her any day of the week.
Kelly Clarkson
Clarkson has been battling weight and appearance issues ever since she first appeared on American Idol. But the fact is this: she’s a phenomenal singer and human being. She’s also an amazing mother. With or without make up, Clarkson is a cutie no matter what. We look forward to every single record and song she creates. And hopefully we get more natural shots of Kelly in the future.
Katie Holmes
Ms. Holmes has never been one to need a whole lot of make up. Even when she’s completely done up she doesn’t overdo it. As you can see in the picture to the left, there’s really not a whole lot of difference in the two. Kate’s naturally good looking and has excellent skin. For a woman closing in on her mid 40s and beyond, she looks fantastic.
Sofia Vergara
This is just a bad pic taken at the wrong time. There’s just nothing else to it. It’s got bad lighting and it’s at the wrong angle. Sofia Vergara is one of the most gorgeous women on the planet and there’s a reason she’s been the highest paid actor on TV (man or woman) for the past 5 years. Getting up out of bed or posing for a swimsuit issue, it doesn’t matter.
Busy Philipps
For Busy Philipps putting on makeup isn’t a problem. She uses fairly little of it as you can see here. In fact many would argue that Busy is cuter without make up. Also, she loves cats as evidenced by her photo on the left. That automatically makes her awesome.
Mila Kunis looks like Brian Peppers sans makeup.

A lot of these are just bad shots. Not all people look great in every pic they take. That’s why for photoshoots with models photographers take many pictures and select the ones they like most.
Agreed!! They chose pics that made them look bad! Some of them look sick and unhealthy put next to one that they’re all done up doesn’t seem fair! Some of them don’t look bad without makeup!!

Most of these photos are taken when the people look their best & then compaired with a shot of them after they’ve just been running. So of course the comparison of them is going to look pretty bad.

Too bad they cake all that makeup on their face for photo shoots and use Photoshop on their bodies. Wish the world could focus on trying natural beauty cause everyone has something about them that makes them beautiful. Even if its just their personality.

I don’t get it. These women are fawned over because of their physical beauty. They trade in the business of beauty. But somehow it “lacks humanity” to comment on it when they are shown in a natural state? If they didn’t want to be judged by appearances, they wouldn’t run to the spotlight.
Lists like this are a good reminder to girls everywhere that even the stars they look up to don’t look perfect all the time. No one does! Calling them ugly seems a bit harsh though.. If we didn’t constantly see them at their best, even their ‘worst’ wouldn’t seem so bad.

The post should have been titled “female celebrities without makeup.” When we guys are unshaven, hair uncombed, maybe hung over, we can look as unattractive as anyone. (Remember the famous Nick Nolte mug shot?). How about some equal time?

I don’t think Nick Nolte was ever beautiful at any point of his career..LOL. You know what I mean, apples and oranges. I think it’s good to see them at their worst when we always see pictures of them altered and looking all made up..these even the playing field a bit.
I think the majority of these women look just as good without make-up as they do with.
These aren’t just women without makeup, they are photos without photoshop or lightroom. To compare posed and obviously touched-up photos, to snap shots taken through a paparazzi’s dirty car window, is ridiculous.
I honestly think about half of these women look adorable without makeup and I wish we’d see it more often. Others look the same, and only about 3 look like they just rolled out of bed, which is fine, because we all look like that in the morning.

you can’t go by these photos iv been taking pics for years. not every picture taken of someone will turn out looking great. plus lot of them are just bad photos people are not ready for. or they are working out which so they are not made up.

To be fair, some of these celebrities are wearing makeup. Maybe not professional, but I clearly see eyeliner/massacre and shadows in some of these photos. A lot of these photos are just bad lighting and angles, that we’d all look bad in.. has nothing to do with not wearing makeup.

I find it worrisome that anyone would think these women look so horrific without makeup, when really it’s what I would expect most women to look like without it. In my opinion, a woman’s beauty comes from inside. Over the years, I have met several really attractive women who, once you get to know them, are not very beautiful at all. To be honest, I have met several unattractive women who remained unattractive after getting to know them. I have met only one truly beautiful woman whose beauty only intensified once I got to know her.
I have been married to her for many years. To this day, I can look at her while she is sleeping and I am amazed at how lovely she is.
I’m not a “hater” I just don’t care about the kardashians. I would make this comment about anyone that used lip stick (still makeup) in a picture that is supposed to be no makeup. Who knows what Kim really looks like without any makeup…and without the cosmetic surgery she has had done. She isn’t a natural beauty.

I much prefer a women with a healthy natural look and no makeup.
In fact many of these women look so bad without it simply because they do wear makeup so often. If your skin gets used to having it on, it loses some of its natural elasticity and color and makes it harder to maintain healthy skin so you just compound the problem further by covering up problems with makeup which cause more problems.
My wife never wears makeup, just keeps her skin clean, protected from the sun and properly moisturized. Everyone asks her what kind of makeup she uses to maintain such a healthy glow and the answer is none.
I was told by a professional in the beauty industry that makeup (washed off every morning & night), acts as a barrier from the elements and isn’t actually bad for one’s skin. I never looked it up or did any research, so I couldn’t tell you for sure if it’s true or not. Possible…
Yes , in fact makeup can serve as a sun barrier and help prevent many of the aging effects of UV exposure .
Genetics has a lot to do with good skin, some women take perfectly good care of their skin, but still have issues. The other big factors are sunscreen from a very young age, maintaining the same weight that you were in high school or as close to it as possible, and not smoking. The latter two affect the skin’s elasticity the most, not make up and your wife is lucky : )

They all look like normal women to me. If you put any women thru the that same routine with professional makeup arts and photographers with PhotoShop will also look like America’s (twisted) version of the perfect (nonexistent) woman we’re all expected to be.
Yes , there are perfect women , people who think not probably consider themselves perfect . My wife is perfect for me and she has been for 43 years now . Why is America’s version “twisted” ? Seems most of the world has it’s own standards , some overlap some do not . The range of beautiful is broad an not strictly defined for many of us “Americans” .

I’m 43 and have only worn make up 3 times in my life and hated it and felt like a fool took it off within the hour it was put on me.I feel so much better without it and its better for your skin to not have it on as well.
Actually, that is not necessarily true. Make up can protect your skin. It can moisturizer, nourish, block UV rays, and provide a protective layer from the elements.
However, if you are one of those rare people that looks beautiful without makeup, God Bless you! I have to have my makeup on.

Demi Lovato & Katie Holmes both look great with or without makeup, along with a few, Very few others pictured. Some pictured look horrible, some look fine. Pamela Anderson use to be gorgeous with or without it, now it’s a struggle for her to look fair with it (pretty is as pretty does). But, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Just my opinion though.

Makeup ruins your skin and ends up making you need to cover up the longer you use it. For 43 years now I’ve been makeup free(well my sister and cousins tried to put it on me like 3 times but I washed it off asap) and do not intend to change now.I have always looked younger than I am so I must be doing something right by avoiding that stuff.

Agreed about Mila. Paula Patton and Vanessa Williams are uber Stunning without makeup and so is Desiree Flores(American Idol). I’m glad they did this edition because Hollywood is always trying to send the message to Black and Mulatto women that White and Latin women are superior to us in every way including LOOKS.
When the truth is, a lot of these female celebrities they put on pedestals due to skin color and attitudes of superiority, not only DON’T LOOK GLAMOROUS AT ALL WITHOUT makeup, but a lot of Black and Mulatto ladies ARE NATURAL BEAUTIES and DO look good without makeup. Racism and stereotypes need to stop.
And that also goes for ALL NON FAMOUS GIRLS of EVERY color whom they attempt to make feel bad about themselves based on comparisons to celebs, but ESPECIALLY to MINORITY girls, cause we definitely get it the worst.
Beyonce actually looks gorgeous without makeup too. I don’t really care for her personality, but she’s a super stunning girl. Makes no difference if she’s made up or not.

The ones I thought looked best were Hilary Duff, Demi Lovato, Anne Hathaway. The jaw droppers and not in a good way were Faith Hill, Mila Kunis, Khloe Kardashian, Pam Anderson. Khloe looks much better now that she’s blonde and slimmer. I don’t fault anyone for not looking like a star without makeup on. They just look like everyday people. As to someone like Kathy Griffin? She’s not considered pretty anyway, so to show her without makeup is really punishing us!

They all look great. The photographers who took the “no makeup” pictures sought out to get a picture with the sun shining in their eyes, and squinting or anything they could to try to convince everyone that they are not beautiful. Well, you guys and gals failed miserably! Ha!!

“A Kennedy always looks good” – Are you KIDDING me? She looks awful as do about half these women. It’s WHY they apply makeup. It’s a toss up- sometimes makeup makes you look older, sometimes younger, sometimes much, much better, sometimes hard as nails (and not in a good way).
the biggest shocker imo is Nicolette Sheridan- she goes from looking like a bombshell to much worse than me and I am at least ten years older (and not an actress but a aging bombshell nonetheless).
But at least four of these women look better without makeup or about the same so the author should be ashamed of him/herself. They just shouldn’t be on this list, period (Hathaway, Katy, Kelly Brook (whoever she is), Ritchie).
But that’s what the media loves to do- shame women for not being perfect. Guess we still put celebrity women up on pedestals or something (yawn). EVERYONE who contributes to this should be required to post pics of themselves in their underwear, without makeup.
