It pays to be one of Oprah Winfrey’s closet pals. Winfrey was able to make a name for herself by hosting The Oprah Winfrey Show for 25 years. During the course of her show’s run, Winfrey met many people and turned them into some of the richest and most recognizable people in the World. Here is a list of 13 people who were made rich by the help of Oprah.

1. Dr. Phil McGraw

Oprah hired McGraw’s legal consulting firm in 1995 after she was sued by cattle ranchers for talking bad about red meat.  Three years later, McGraw appeared on her show. He became so popular that he appeared every week as a Relationship and Life Strategy Expert. From 1998-2002, McGraw published three best selling books, before he landed his own show produced by Oprah’s Harpo Studios.
