Well, another weekend has passed and George Clooney is not yet a married man. That makes it more likely than ever that it’s going to be any day now. The famed actor is set to wed his fiance, Amul Alamuddin any day now, and even though they haven’t exchanged vows yet, the date is quickly approaching – or so they’ve said. However, even though Venice wasn’t the place where the couple wed this past weekend (maybe next?), Alamuddin’s family is every excited about the upcoming wedding.
“Ramzi couldn’t seem more delighted. He finds Clooney very sympathetic, intelligent, cool, easygoing and crazy in love with Amal,” says a friend of the bride’s father. Ramzi Alamuddin is a 77-year-old travel agent operator and university lecturer. He had his son-in-law on a yacht in Dubai in March, and has presumably been very involved in the planning of the wedding. He seems to very much like his almost son-in-law.
Additionally, it seems that the whole wedding is going to be a big family affair, given that the couple spends a great deal of time with each other’s parents, and their parents spend time together, too. Over the summer, the couple’s respective mothers went out in Italy for a day of shopping, enjoying one another’s company and getting to know one another before their children’s big day in Venice.
Too bad for the rest of the world that none of the parents involved in the wedding have loose lips, because no one knows when the big day is going to arrive. It’s said that it’s going to be sooner rather than later, but the anticipation and excitement over the wedding of the year has been mounting ever so much over the past few weeks, and people are watching the news like clockwork each weekend to see if this is the day that George Clooney becomes a married man.
