Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross are Married

It’s official! Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross are a married couple. They two announced their engagement back in January via Twitter and tied the knot this weekend in Connecticut. The groom’s mother, Diana Ross, hosted the wedding at her estate in Connecticut. Ashlee Simpson’s older sister – and fellow newlywed – Jessica Simpson was in attendance with her new husband and their two small children.

Jessica Simpson was the matron of honor, and Ashlee Simpson’s son, Bronx, was also part of the wedding ceremony. The past few months have been busy for the couple. They announced their engagement in January online.

“The love of my life said YES!!!!!! My baby love and I are ENGAGED!!! Hallelujah Hawaii!!!” Ross tweeted while he and Simpson were on vacation in Hawaii after he proposed to the famous blonde. The couple celebrated their engagement in March. Simpson’s mother, Tina, threw the newly engaged couple a lavish engagement party at home. Jessica Simpson threw the couple a bridal shower in August at her home in Los Angeles.

It was only a week ago that the newly married pair was in New York City celebrating Ross’ 26th birthday at STK Downtown where a patron witnessed the excitement of the couple. “They were excited and talking about the upcoming wedding. Evan and Ashlee were kissing each other nonstop all night,” said a source at STK Downtown.

This is a second marriage for Simpson, who was previously married to rock star Pete Wentz. She’s been publicly dating Ross since July 2013. The Hunger Games star and his new wife were spotted exiting the Sunset Marquis Hotel in Los Angeles holding hands, which prompted media speculation about their relationship. This is a first marriage for Ross. There have been no other details regarding their wedding announced just yet, other than the fact that the bride wore Neil Lane jewelry to go with the custom-made engagement ring he designed for Ross to propose with.
