Beyonce Partners With Topshop to Create Activewear Line

Beyonce

Beyonce is only a little busy. She’s just the most powerful woman in the world, the mother of a small toddler, wife of one of the most famous rappers in the world, she just finished up a joint tour with her husband, she has a fashion line, several businesses and she’s always on the go, but that’s not stopping the powerhouse singer from venturing into yet another business. She’s partnered with Topshop to create a line of athletic streetwear. The partnership is 50/50. It’s called Parkwood Topshop Athletic Ltd.

“This is not a collaboration. This is about building a brand and building a business – a separate, proper business, with separate overhead and a separate office. We started talking generally, about doing something together. We’ve been looking at that athletic sector for a while. It’s something we need to be in. based on what she does, how she works out, the conversation go into that category,” is the announcement that Topshop’s Sir Philip Green made to Women’s Wear Daily. Beyonce had her own statement to make regarding the partnership.

“I have always loved Topshop for their fashion credentials and forward thinking,” she said of the brand. And we know it’s true because she’s spotted out and about on a regular basis wearing pieces from the company, even though they’re not pricey or in the range of many superstars who tend to wear only the most high-end designer couture pieces. Before you get too excited, however, don’t expect to jump up and start shopping. The singer’s line won’t be in stores until at least fall 2015, and that’s just their projected date for the arrival of the line in stores. It’s a new line, a new concept and a new business, which means it’s going to take some time to get things started and create the new activewear line.
