Singer/songwriter Gwen Stefani gained mainstream success during the 90s as the front woman of the band, No Doubt.  As a member of the band, Stefani released numerous hit singles and earned two Grammy Awards.  In 2004, when Stefani decided to take a break from the group and pursue a solo career, many speculated whether or not she would be able to succeed on her own.  With the release of her debut album, Love. Angel. Music.
