Three Things you Didn’t Know about Phillip Phillips’ Inspired by Twitter

Phillip Phillips

Phillip Phillips is not one of the most famous winners of American Idol, but he certainly has not done poorly for himself as far as his career is concerned. His singing style is one America fell in love with, which is part of the reason that he won the 11th season of the hit singing competition. At the age of 24, he’s managed to accomplish a lot in his relatively short career, including opening for bands such as Matchbox 20 and starting his own band prior to winning Idol. He’s also suffering from a major health condition that causes him exceptional pain. He has a condition that affects his kidneys. He produces kidney stones that are very large; too large to pass. This means he has to have surgery to remove the stones when they become too much for him to bear, and he’s had reconstructive surgery on his kidneys as well. Phillip Phillips recently took to twitter to make an announcement that we just didn’t have any clue about:

We had no idea he was a little bit of a creepy stalker. Kidding – he’s not a creepy stalker. He just looks like one when he’s staring.

And that inspired us to go through his life a bit to see if there is anything else we don’t know about the former American Idol winner that has not already been made public. It’s not easy, but we’ve found a few tidbits of information about Phillip Phillips you might not have known.

He Started a Band with this Brother-In-Law

Most people don’t like their in-laws, but Phillips likes his so much he started a band with one of them. He and his brother-in-law have played music together for many years, so starting a band together was only natural to the two.

His Intro Song was the Most Popular

You know the intro song; it’s the one that the winner of American Idol will release immediately after winning the competition, and it’s the song that will forever make them famous. It’s done wonders for Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson, but it was Phillips song, “Home,” that was the most popular of all the former Idol winners.
