When two people love each other enough to make the commitment of marriage, they’re agreeing to be with each other through ups and downs, thick and thin. But unfortunately, in the real world, things don’t always work out like that. These days, the number of couples divorcing are higher than ever, and while people hope to have better luck with their second marriages, things don’t always work out there either. In fact, it’s not uncommon to hear about someone who has been married multiple times. Although most people hope for the best each time they walk down the aisle, in the words of the late Amy Winehouse, “love is a losing game.” Here are 10 celebrities who have been divorced three times.
Apparently, Charlie Sheen isn’t as good as winning as he’d like everyone to think. With three failed marriages under his belt, Sheen doesn’t seem to have much luck with relationships. In fact, even with the three of his marriages combined, he’s only been married for a total of eight years. Only time will tell if he ends up making another trip down the aisle, but with his track record, it doesn’t seem like the greatest of ideas.

For years, Jennifer Lopez has been one of the most well-known figures in pop culture. There are people all over the world who would love a chance to get close to her, and marrying her is something that most people can only dream of. But unfortunately for J. Lo her marriages never quite turn out to be the stuff that dreams are made of. So far, she’s been married three times, all of which have ended in divorce. However, her last (and longest) marriage, to fellow singer, Marc Anthony, lasted for 10 years, and gave her two beautiful children.
Tom Cruise is one of the biggest names in Hollywood, and over the course of his career he’s been a part of some pretty big films. With his super busy schedule, it’s kind of easy to see why it’s hard for him to keep a stable relationship, and as a result, he’s been married and divorced three times. His most recent marriage, to actress, Katie Holmes, sparked a little bit of controversy when people claimed that the marriage was a sham, and that Cruise had actually paid her to be his wife.

Demi Moore’s talent and good looks have made her a fan favorite throughout her entire career. She’s been sought after by plenty of people in the entertainment industry, and has been married three times. Her first marriage to musician, Freddy Moore, lasted for five years and she eventually moved on to Bruce Willis, whom she was married to from 1987 to 2000. However, her most famous marriage is probably her marriage to actor, Ashton Kutcher. When the two began dating, the couple’s 14 year age difference had many people wondering what either of them were thinking. Although they seemed like a happy couple at first, their marriage ended after eight years.

Lisa Marie Presley
Most famous for being the daughter of the legendary Elvis Presley, Lisa Marie also gained notoriety when she married the king of pop, Michael Jackson (her second husband). At the time, many people questioned whether or not the marriage was a publicity stunt, and the couple’s union only lasted for two years, although they remained friends afterwards. In 2002, she married actor, Nicolas Cage, and unfortunately, that marriage also lasted only two years. Presley is currently married to musician, Michael Lockwood, and the couple has already passed the two-year mark and things are looking good.

Now on her fourth marriage, actress, Geena Davis, hasn’t had much luck in the husband department. All three of her previous marriages were short, and it seemed like she just couldn’t find the right guy. However, she has currently been married to Reza Jarrahy for more than 10 years, and it looks like the fourth time is a charm for Geena.

Rosanna Arquette is a member of one of the most well-known families in Hollywood, but she’s also been able to make a name for herself as a talented actress, director, and producer. But despite all the success she’s had in her career, her personal life took a while to catch up. After her third divorce in 1999, Arquette decided to think long and hard about getting married again. She remained single until 2013 when she married investment banker, Todd Morgan.

Frank Sinatra was one of the greatest entertainers of his time, and perhaps, of all-time. With his smooth voice and good looks, Sinatra definitely had a way with the ladies any time he stepped on the stage or appears on-screen. But sadly, the women in his real life didn’t seem to be too charmed by his ways. Sinatra was divorced three times between 1939 and 1968. Fortunately, he was able to find love in 1976 when he married Barbara Marx, and the two remained together until his death in 1998.

Muhammad Ali is, hands down, the most famous boxer to ever step foot inside the ring. During his career, he was a dominant force, and his larger than life personality made him famous in the world outside of sports. However, Ali was an equally busy man outside of the ring. He is the father of seven children, and over the course of his life he’s been married four times and divorced three

Although it has not yet been finalized, Halle Berry and her third husband, Oliver Martinez have recently announced that they have filed for divorce. According to several celebrity news outlets, Martinez’ temper played a role in Berry’s choice to file, and things could potentially get ugly in court. Unfortunately for Halle, there’s nothing worse than waking up and realizing that the man of your dreams was just that.
