The Five Most Famous Howard Stern Interviews

I want you to stop what you are doing and imagine what it would be like to be the media mogul that Howard Stern is. The empire he has built was all built by him. He got no hand-outs, he got no help. Now, he is a media icon known and respected all the world over. One thing that has helped earn him that reputation was his no-holds-barred approach to celebrity interviews. Here are the five most famous Howard Stern interviews. Keep in mind, these are the most famous and most memorable to us, but this is in our opinion.

Bryan Cranston

Did you guys know that Bryan Cranston actually got a chance to actually make drugs when in preparation for his role on Breaking Bad? Very few people know this, and they only know it because Cranston was candid enough to tell Howard Stern this in his first ever appearance on Stern’s radio show in 2012.

This was cool because there were moments when it almost seemed as if Stern was actually interviewing the Heisenberg persona that seems to exist within Cranston.

Denise Richards

Howard Stern has a gift for getting actors and actresses to admit things to him (and to the public) they would not admit anywhere else. One perfect example of this was when former wife of Charlie Sheen, Denise Richards, came on his show and talked about her tumultuous relationship with the troubled actor. He also got her to talk about some things we are just not allowed to mention here.

Paul McCartney

Come on, do we even need to say anything here? This is Howard Stern, one of the greatest interviewers of all time, interviewing one of the most famous musicians who was in pretty much the most influential band of all time? Is there any way this could NOT be epic?

I almost feel as if stars like McCartney and Cranston forget that they are doing an interview, and instead just feel like they are talking, one on one, with a genuine guy. That is the sign of a great interview. It is just a candid talk between people. We are just lucky enough as the public to get to listen in.

Billy Joel

There was a time in history when Billy Joel was making some really poor choices. These choices involved him driving into houses. I know it sounds strange, but it happened quite a bit. Howard Stern was the one guy who got him to open up and talk about some of his problems. Stern has a special kind of energy with musicians in particular, as you can see from this list.

Louis C.K.

Everybody loves Louis C.K. right now, and everybody loves Howard Stern. So this interview made so much sense, and it was great to hear how candid Louis wall willing to get with Howard. He talked about everything from when he had no money and no one knew who he was, to some candid stories about his personal life and rise to fame.
