Five Things You Didn’t Know About Ian Somerhalder

You gotta admit, Ian Somerhalder is kinda dreamy. But believe it or not, he has a lot going for him other than those crystal blue persuaders (which is what I call his eyes). He is actually quite talented (as most of you know) and actually has a some pretty interesting facts about him you might not know. That is where we come in. We thought we would make you all a quick list of five things you didn’t know about Ian Somerhalder. He may be best known for portraying Damon on The Vampire Diaries, but there is much more to the actor than just donning fake fans, as you will see.

He Wanted To Be A Marine Biologist

Crazy to think that if Ian Somerhalder had not gotten into acting, he would have been a marine biologist. So on one hand, he had the idea of working with beautiful women, and on the other hand, he had the idea of working with fish.

Fast Food “Freaks Him Out”

In a tell all conversation with US Weekly, he admitted he doesn’t eat the stuff and the very concept of it freaks him out. That must be how he maintains his good shape. For us, it is hard to imagine our lives without the dollar menu. We bet he lives a lot longer than us, though.

His Guilty Pleasure is Captain Crunch Cereal

See, just because he doesn’t eat fast food doesn’t mean he is denies himself all delicious treats. He considers Captain Crunch to be his guilty pleasure food, and treats himself to a bowl whenever anyone isn’t looking. We like it, too, but man, it sure cuts up the roof of our mouth.
