The city of Las Vegas is one of the most exciting places in the country. Full of lights and entertainment, Vegas has become a perfect tourist destination for anyone who is looking to have a good time. However, aside from gambling and partying, Vegas is also well-known for its many shows and performances. Each year, numerous musicians flock to Vegas stages, some even setting up shop for long-term residences. Over the years, the list of stars performing in Vegas has gotten more and more impressive, and it seems like it’s becoming a great career choice for those who want to perform regularly without having to go on tour. Here are 10 musicians who are killing it in Las Vegas.
Mariah Carey
Okay, so Mariah Carey hasn’t actually started performing in Vegas yet, but with her first show just days away, the anticipation is at an all time high. Carey has a long history of shutting things down every time she hits the stage, and many fans are anxious to see whether she can still hit those high notes that made her famous. However, it’s pretty safe to say that Mariah Carey is going to give the people exactly what they want during her time in Vegas, and that’s quality entertainment.

Britney Spears
Several years ago, Britney Spears hit a rough patch in both her career and her personal life. However, things started looking up for Spears in 2013, when she began her two-year residency in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood. Since then, Spears’ career has seen a great rejuvenation and people love to watch her perform all of her old hits.

Prince
Prince is one of the most popular artists of his generation, and he’s the one responsible for teaching everyone how to party like it’s 1999. Prince has performed in Las Vegas several times throughout his career, and of course, fans were impressed. However, even when he isn’t in the city himself, he’s still shutting it down. Thanks to the Purple Reign Prince Tribute Show, Prince’s is doing amazing in Vegas, even though he technically isn’t there.

Cher
Cher is the perfect type of artist to perform in Las Vegas. Her incredible costumes and grand stage presence have helped her sell out performances during her various shows in Las Vegas. In just a little more than a decade, Cher has landed three residencies in Las Vegas. Unfortunately, her most recent tour had to be cut short due to health problems, and may be resumed at some point this year.

Shania Twain
In 2012, Shania Twain began her one year residency at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. Before her first performance she stated: “Besides getting back onstage in the first place, I’m just looking forward to contact with the fans again. Being able to connect directly with the fans during the show has always been a pleasure, and that’s probably what I’m looking forward to the most, above and beyond the live show itself.” During the tour she earned more than $43 million over the course of 105 shows.

Donny and Marie
Sibling duo, Donny and Marie Osmond are doing pretty well in Las Vegas. Since 2008, the pair has been performing regularly in the city, and are currently doing shows at The Flamingo. It seems like no matter how many times they perform, fans are excited to see them hitting the stage.

Rod Stewart is tearing thins up in Las Vegas, but with his more than 50 years of experience, that really shouldn’t come as a surprise. Although he is now 70 years-old, Stewart refuses to let his age slow him down, and he’s fully dedicated to putting on amazing shows each time he perfumes.

Bette Midler is certainly no stranger to performing in Las Vegas. Over the course of her career, she has graced Vegas stages plenty of times. In 2013, R&B group Boyz II Men decided to give up touring to perform in Las Vegas. While many may not have understood their decision, it seems like it’s been a smart move for the group who been doing well since taking the Vegas stage. Currently, the group is performing regularly at The Mirage.

There probably isn’t any other artist in the entire world who has found as much success and popularity in Las Vegas as Wayne Newton.
