3. Kanye West was a good student.

Kanye West’s immense self-discipline has been with him long before the fame.  Throughout his time in school, West was a good student whose creative talents helped him receive a lot of attention from students, school administrators, and peers.  After completing high school, West was offered scholarship to Chicago’s American Academy of the Art.  Although he attended the school for a short while, he eventually transferred to Chicago State University where he would eventually drop out. When asked about his grades, West stated: “I got A’s and B’s. And I’m not even frontin’.”
