Amanda Peet Shows off Baby Bump at Emmys

After telling her fans that she’s too old to have another baby back in 2010, actress Amanda Peet has eaten her words – but that’s not what’s causing her belly to grow significantly. The actress, 42, is pregnant with her third child. Peet stunned fans when she walked the Emmys red carpet last night showcasing an impressive baby bump as she and her husband made their way down the carpet. Her Giambattista Valli gown did little to hide the fact that the couple had some pretty big news to announce.

The couple is already parents to two children. Their daughters, Frances and Molly, are 7 and 4. “They’re pretty excited. The older one is pretty excited, the middle one is not so sure,” she says of her daughters and how they’re feeling about the big baby news at home.

She made headlines back in 2010 when she told reporters she was too old to have another baby shortly after the birth of her now 4-year-old. “I’m really old. He was like, we have to wait three years. And I was like, we don’t have three years. We’ll be too old at that point,” she joked in 2010 when recounting a conversation she shared with her husband.

Of her current pregnancy, the actress says that it’s going smoothly but that being pregnant at her age is a bit more challenging.

“It’s okay! It’s okay! 42 and pregnant is quite something. I’ll be taking these heels off in a minute,” she joked. Peet’s husband, David Benioff, 43, smiled happily beside his wife as they announced their news. He’s never been one to keep his desire to have more kids a secret, so we figure he’s thrilled. Benioff is showrunner for “Game of Thrones,” and was at the Emmys to support his series last night.
