Angie Harmon and Husband Split After 13 Years
After 15 year together, 13 years married and a live marriage proposal on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Angie Harmon and Jason Sehorn have decided it’s time to end their marriage. The adorable couple has separated after 13 years of marriage, and they’re asking for some space and privacy to navigate their way through this difficult time, especially when it comes to their children.
“For the sake of their children, they ask for respect and privacy as they navigate this time in their lives,” said a rep for Harmon this weekend after news of the couple’s split broke. After a live proposal in 2000, the couple married in 2001 and began welcoming children into their family only a few years later.
The couple has three children ages 11, 9, and 5 and they are asking their fans and the media to give them a break so that they can handle their separation, divorce and children as they best see fit. This news is shocking to many considering how outspoken the actress and the NFL player are about communication and their feelings for one another.
In fact, it was just a few years ago that the actress went on record discussing the many differences she and her now-estranged husband have and how their differences are what make their marriage such a success. Harmon also discussed at length the importance of communication, whether it’s good or bad and how it makes a big difference in the way that couples perceive themselves and one another. While the couple has only officially separated, there is no word from either camp as to whether or not they’ve decided to divorce or if they are attempting to work on their marriage. However, it’s been confirmed that their separation is something they’ve discussed and considered at great length.
