The Real Housewives of New York City is bound to be a hit when it returns to television, and not just because our beloved Bethenny Frankel is back and better than ever. Okay, so there are a lot of BF haters out there, but I’m not one of them. I love the woman and her brazen personality, her lack of fear and her ability to say what’s on her mind while still making us laugh a little. But this season brings with it a new face by the name of Dorinda Medley. She’s the newest housewife in the city, and there is a lot we just don’t know about her yet. In fact, there’s not much at all we know about her even though that is going to seriously change in the coming months considering the fact that she’s going to have every aspect of her life on reality television. So before she’s a household name, here are a few things you don’t already know about Dorinda Medley.
She’s a Widow
While we don’t know exactly what happened, we do know that Medley was married to Richard Medley, a very wealthy hedge fund manager who passed away. It’s been three years since his death and apparently she’s still taking it quite hard. She has a daughter who recently left for college.
Her Net Worth
Dorinda Medley is a socialite who is reportedly worth more than $20 million. She had her own company in the fashion world when she was married to her first husband and reportedly earned a lot of her money that way.
She’s Terrified of Bethenny Frankel
She says that before she met BF, she was terrified. Fortunately, she seems to get along with the other reality star quite well and there will not be much friction there on the new season of the hit television show.
She’s a Longtime Friend of Ramona Singer
It appears that the two have known one another for some time, and there is a bit of strife in their relationship if rumors can be believed. The two deny that there is any tension in their relationship since she began on the show, but we will see as the season plays out.
She Considers Herself a Peace Maker
She didn’t think that would be who she turned into, but she recently said that her role on the show is sort of to bring the women together, and she’s loving every second of it. She said she’s in a place now where she can actually do what she wants and make it happen.
