Five Things You Didn’t Know about Lisa D’Amato
You remember Lisa D’Amato from America’s Next Top Model. She was one of the women out to become the next biggest thing in the modeling industry back in the fifth season. She was remarkable, beautiful and sometimes a little tiny bit on the drunk side. She was older than many of the other contestants at the time, and she was definitely into her wine. She was funny, sometimes a bit inappropriate, but definitely the kind of model you want to have in your corner. She later won when it came to becoming an All-Star, and she’s definitely someone who makes the most of what she has. But, we don’t know everything about her.
Her mother is in prison
Her mother was in custody for more than 25 years, and she didn’t get to see her often. Her parents divorced when she was only two, which meant that her father raised her and she was raised in LA with her dad. It certainly wasn’t an ideal upbringing, but it was one that she lived with and made the most of during her time as a young girl.
She began modeling young
Some people mistakenly believe that Lisa D’Amato began modeling when she tried out for ANTM, but she did not. She was only 12 when she got her start in the modeling industry, and that left her with ample experience in comparison to some of the other girls she lived with and competed with when she was a reality television show contestant.
She sings, too
If you thought that D’Amato was just another pretty face, you were so wrong. She actually has other talents, too. She sings. She even released an album bac in 2007. Believe it or not, she likes to get her music on in the R&B and Hip Hop categories and she’s not actually that bad at it. She’s done a few music videos, released an album and she’s even made it a point to tour around the Southeastern part of the US.
She’s married
She wasn’t when we knew her, but Lisa D’Amato found the love her life a few years back and she married him in 2012. Some people suspected that she might have been pregnant when she married him, but she didn’t have any reason to care what anyone thought. She was happy to marry the man she loved and she did it for that reason, and that reason alone.
She’s a mother
Two days shy of her one year wedding anniversary, Lisa D’Amato and her husband welcomed their first child together. Their little boy is Dax, and she was not shy about showing off her pregnant body, her post-pregnancy body or anything else that was even remotely related to her body in the least. She loves herself and what she was able to do, and she feels no shame in that whatsoever. She has not come forward to discuss having more kids in the future, but it’s also none of our business whether she wants any or not.
