Getting to Know the Cast of Blue Bloods

When CBS first brought Blue Bloods to life back in 2010, no one knew what a massive hit the show would become. It’s a police drama that follows the lives of a family called Reagan. The father, Frank Reagan, is played by Tom Selleck. He is the commissioner of police. He is a former war hero, a widow and the father of four, including a murdered son. His children are all in the business with him. Donnie Wahlberg plays Danny Reagan, a detective with the NYPD. His daughter, played by Bridget Moynahan, is an ADA in Manhattan. His other son is an attorney who left the business to become a cop when he brother was murdered.

The show follows the lives of this family as they navigate the time when their jobs interfere with one another, and when their family is in jeopardy. We thought you might want to get to know the cast of this hit series, so here you go.

Jennifer Esposito

She’s an actress who has such a recognizable face, and it’s because she’s spent years starring in movies and on television. She’s been a best friend, a leading lady, a detective, a guest star and a model in her career, and she is not going anywhere anytime soon. She is also the owner of a gluten-free bakery in New York City, which she was inspired to open after she was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2011. She was married to Bradley Cooper for a year in 2006, and she is now married to a model by the name of Louis Dowler. She has been busy in her career, which began in 1995 with a few guest starring roles in television.

Len Cariou

He’s a famed Broadway star with more talent than most people put together in just one episode. He’s got Tony awards, recognitions all over the world and he has one of the most recognizable faces you’ve ever encountered. His role on this show is perfect for him, and it epitomizes his amazing acting with precision.

Amy Carlson

She’s a former soap star, but don’t hold that against her. she began acting in the early 90s and has made herself present in dozens of films and televisions shows, but this show might be one of her most notable. She’s married to the man who plays bass guitar in Seth Meyers’ late night band, and they have two kids. She lives in Manhattan.

Will Estes

Since the early 90s, he’s been acting in a little bit of this and a little bit of that. He’s been in two major primetime dramas, this one and American Dreams. His early career was a lot of commercials, but it worked to get him noticed in the business so it’s safe to say he does not regret the hard work he put into those roles.

Sami Gayle

She began her career as a child star on a hit soap opera, and she only got better from there. She loves stage, and actually turned down a role in an unnamed Broadway production because it would not have allowed her to attend her brother’s Bar Mitzvah. She’s a Florida native with an attorney for a father and her mother is her manager.

Bridget Moynahan

She is a former model and an actress. She is the ex-girlfriend of Tom Brady, as well as the mother of his oldest child. She likes to keep her private life private, and she’s been good at it since she entered the business decades ago. She is married to a Wall Street business owner, and she has had roles in many major movies, television shows as well as modeling campaigns.

Marisa Ramirez

One of the things we love most about Marisa Ramirez is the fact that she really does play a spectacular police officer. She is a cop on Blue Bloods and she was an officer on the series Body of Proof several years ago, too. Add to that the fact that she was also a detective when she was on the show Against the Wall, and she might as well go to the police academy and become a teacher of how to become a cop without actually becoming a cop. She was married in 2002, divorced in 2011 and she is currently expecting her first baby.

Vanessa Ray

With a very diverse career to note, she has been a little bit of everything on television. She was a character on the hit show Pretty Little Liars, she had a role on a hit series called Suits and she was a soap opera star for a while. She began her career in 2003 and has appeared in dozens of films and series, and she’s one of those women with a face you cannot forget.

Tom Selleck

He’s one of the most famous actors of all time, and he’s also one of the most famous faces of all time. Call it his moustache, or call it his skill. Whatever you call it, you are calling; he’s famous and it doesn’t matter what for. At 71, he’s spent more than half his life in Hollywood, and there is nothing abou that the doesn’t love. He’s been a comedian, a serious actor, a father, a son, a brother, a boyfriend, a heartthrob, the older boyfriend of Monica in Friends; he’s done it all. His first roles came in 1969 and it did not take long for him to become famous after that.

Donnie Wahlberg

A former New Kid on the Block, an actor and a restaurant owner with his own reality show he shares with his family, there is about nothing that Donnie Wahlberg does not do. He stays quite busy with his role in this hit show, and he has made his way from teenage heartthrob to serious actor. He is the brother of the famous model and actor, Mark Wahlberg, and the family is one that likes to say that fame sort of runs in their blood.
