Goodbye Kim Kardashian, Hello Kim West
Keeping up with the….Wests? Kim Kardashian is officially (and legally) Kim West now. The reality television star wed rapper Kanye West earlier this year (perhaps you heard a little something about that) and now she’s really making it official. The middle Kardashian sister is no longer sporting the same last name as the rest of her family, a fact which probably has Kris Jenner panicking and Kanye West loving.
The 33-year-old reality star changed her name almost immediately following her marriage to West on her social media pages, so it’s not a huge surprise that she’d make it official and legally change her name. As far as whether or not she will use Kim West all the time or keep Kardashian for professional reasons is unknown at the moment, but the new Mrs. West has changed her name everywhere else.
She posted an unsmiling photo of herself Tuesday to her Instagram account in front of a white wall with the caption, “New passport pic #Mrs.West #NameChange,” letting the world know she is now an official West. Of course, the news is good for her little family since it’s always nice to share the same last name as your child. North West’s mommy now shares her last name, as well.
Since Kim West and Kanye West announced that they were planning their marriage, both she and Kanye have been open with the media and their fans surrounding their desire to be a family and live as a family unit. They travel together, work together and they even make videos together. They’ve included their daughter in their work, posing for photos shoots with her and even taking her to work, as Kanye recently did. Now they’ve done everything they possibly can to unite their family, we wonder what’s next. Perhaps a new West?
