Jennifer Lawrence And 7 Actresses Swept Off Their Feet By Rockers
We all now that it’s no uncommon to hear about celebrities crossing paths and, every once in awhile, deciding that it would be smart to hook up. Running in similar circles, we have seen musicians date athletes, athletes date actresses and, maybe even more common, actresses dating rock stars. And because there have been so many instances of this happening, I figured I would take a look at some of the relationships over the years that it occurred. This, of course, comes on the heels of Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence getting swept off of her feet by Coldplay lead singer and estranged husband of Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin, recently, with the two having a romance that has gossip mags and websites going crazy to get the lowdown on. So which actresses set the tone and paved the path for the 24-year-old Lawrence to cozy up with her singing beau? Here are a few others who have done just that over the years.
8. Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin (Coldplay Lead Singer)
As mentioned above, the two stars have been getting quite comfortable recently, with the rumor circulating that Martin may be joining the Oscar winner at the premiere of her newest chapter in the Hunger Games series once it gets released. Seeing how Martin is still technically just estranged from actress wife Gwyneth Paltrow, it’s a little bit alarming that the younger Lawrence would swoop in as aggressively as she is, but seeing how she has proven to have a thing for British men, maybe she just knows what she wants?
7. Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy (Muse Lead Singer)
While she already has a son with Black Crowes head man Chris Robinson from a former relationship, serial-rockstar dater Kate Hudson has another baby with Muse lead singer Matt Bellamy, too, proving that she really likes her other half to rock out. Known for her quirky roles in movies, it appears that Hudson likes to get a little grungy while choosing what man to date or marry, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing—she just has a very specific type.
6. Zooey Deschanel and Ben Gibbard (Death Cab for Cutie Lead Singer)
The darling and secret crush of men everywhere, actress Zooey Deschanel might have a new man on her arm these days—producer Jamie Linden—but she ran around with Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard for a long time prior, marrying him back in 2009 before calling it quits a few years later. It appears that sometimes, yes, it’s difficult to have too much indie in one place.
5. Liv Tyler and Royston Langdon (From the band Spacehog)
Having a rockstar dad, it probably wasn’t too shocking to see actress Liv Tyler have a long relationship with a musician herself, as she called Royston Langdon from the British rock band Spacehog her main squeeze for many years. Together for 10 years, the two had a baby together and, although they split in 2008, still remain friends. Tyler’s new squeeze is, allegedly, actor Joaquin Phoenix, proving that she just might need a break from the rockstar life.
4. Evan Rachel Wood and Marilyn Manson (Singer)
Although they have an on and off-again relationship, actress Evan Rachel Wood and rocker Marilyn Manson have managed to stay in somewhat of a relationship for years now. Best known for her role on the hit TV show True Blood, she lives out her dark fantasies through Manson—who is the king of rocker gore and kinkiness. Although they probably live an interesting life together, it would kind of be ironic if they actually just stayed in and watched rom-com’s together, wouldn’t it?
3. Kirsten Dunst and Jason Boesel (Razorlight)
While Kirsten Dunst is back at dating celebs who are more prone to being in front of the camera rather than on the stage these days—as she’s dating actor Garrett Hedlund now—the cute actress did try the music thing once before. After failed relationships with co-stars from a few movies and other actors, Dunst got cozy with Razorlight lead singer Jason Boesel for awhile. Even after publicly denouncing actors dating one another, Dunst has since retreated back to it—but not without a dabbling a little bit in rock n’ roll.
2. Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban (Country Singer)
One of the most famous instances of a mega-famous actress pairing up with a rockstar, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have enjoyed plenty of solid years together and, as someone from Nashville and have met them a few times in person, look to be still going strong. With both hailing from Australia and sharing the same general interests, it’s probably not a shock that they have built a relationship that has staying power.
1. Lena Dunham and Jack Antonoff (Bleachers Lead Singer)
One of the darlings of the past few years thanks to her hit TV show “Girls,” actress Lena Dunham has proven that she was the eye of more than just viewers who watch the show, as Bleachers lead singer Jack Antonoff took heavy notice in the lady a couple of years ago—and they’ve been together ever since. Believed to have met on the set for a video where Lena was photographed wearing some clothes designed by the singer’s sister, the two seemed to hit it off thanks to having so much in common and similar personalities. With Antonoff also being in the popular group Fun., he seems to be quite busy, making Dunham feel as though the two have a solid balance in their relationship that makes it easy and still fun when getting the chance to spend time together.
