Why Did Kirk Cameron Attend Jessa Duggar’s Wedding?
Jessa Duggar is one of the oldest kids in the Duggar Family, and she just recently got married and shared her first kiss with her new husband. Of course, she did things a bit differently than her other siblings and she decided she wanted to share her first kiss with her new husband in private. It was kind of a refreshing story from a family that makes headlines for their interesting decisions.
It seems the couple is in the news again, this time because she had a celebrity guest at her wedding. Growing Pains actor Kirk Cameron and his children were invited to the reality star’s wedding, and they – along with more than 1,000 other guests – attended the young couple’s nuptials.
“We flew to the Duggar hometown, not only to be part of the fun and excitement of honoring this precious couple, but as a father, I want my daughters to see what it looks like when a couple reserves their ‘first kiss’ for at the altar. Wow! This kind of moral excellence and purity is rare today, but our sons and daughters are priceless. This dad has only a few years to etch these meaningful images on the minds of his children,” said the dad of six kids about this attendance at the wedding of the reality stars.
He kept on going, stating that the couple asked their guests to promise not to reveal any of the private and intimate details of their wedding with the media, and Cameron is doing just that. He’s happy to talk about why he wanted to attend the wedding, but he’s not sharing any of the personal details that the couple got to experience on their wedding day. It’s their day, and he believes it is up to them to share this information with the public as they see fit.
