Sarah Michelle Gellar and Other Stars Mourn Loss of Robin Williams

The world is reeling since new broke of actor Robin Williams death, and the shocking circumstances surrounding it, broke last night. The actor, famous for so many roles that include – but certainly are not limited to – Mrs. Doubtfire and Genie from Aladdin, is someone the world has opened up about remembering as hilarious, brilliant and a completely wonderful man.

Sarah Michelle Gellar, who worked with Williams recently on their one-season show, The Crazy Ones, was one of the first celebrities to open up about the world’s tragic loss, and how she felt about working with Williams and her relationship with the iconic actor.

“My life is a better place because I knew Robin Williams. To my children he was Uncle Robin, to everyone he worked with he was the best boss anyone had ever known, and to me he was not just an inspiration but he was the father I always dreamed of having. There are not enough adjectives to describe the light he was, to anyone that ever had the pleasure to meet him. I will miss him everyday, but I know the memory of him will live on. And to his family, I think them for letting us know him and seeing the joy they brought to him. Us crazy ones love you,” she said in her official statement regarding the loss of the legendary actor.

When news broke of Williams’ death, the entire world seemed to feel the pain. Fans were shocked and his coworkers and family were devastated. The internet, news and social media are filled with condolences, shock and sadness following the first reports of Williams’ death. It seems there isn’t a soul who wasn’t touched by one of his performances in some way. Even the President of the United States took a few moments to commemorate the life and tragic loss of such a legendary man.
