Scarlett Johansson House Hunting in her Old LA Neighborhood
It has been a very busy year for Scarlett Johansson. She’s a new mother, she’s got some new films in the works, she’s a long-time famous actress with some amazing roles both behind her and in front of her, and she’s an engaged woman. Now she’s also a new mother planning her wedding while house hunting. It appears the actress, who has long since made it a point to live on the East Coast, is looking for a new home on the West Coast. Not your typical California girl, Johansson spends little time in LA as she prefers New York.
However, this weekend the actress was seen in LA shopping for homes. She hasn’t lived in LA since she was married to Ryan Reynolds (who recently announced he is expecting his own first child with his wife Blake Lively). It’s been several years, but she’s looking for a new home in the same neighborhood where she and Reynolds resided; Los Feliz. Some real estate agents have opened up about the fact that the actress is looking for a second home, and said she recently checked out a lovely Spanish-style estate in the area but ultimately decided not to make an offer. While she did like the home, she felt it wasn’t private enough for her family.
She and fiancé Romain Dauriac have a newborn daughter, and they’re looking for some privacy to keep her shielded from the press and other prying eyes. The $2.9 million home she checked out over the weekend simply did nothing for her in terms of privacy. According to agents, Johansson will continue to look for an LA home, and she will then live bi-coastal when her work requires her to be in LA. She wants a home for her daughter when they’re away from home.
