The Ten Most Popular Celebrity Breakups From 2013

Man, love hurts, huh? And in no time does it hurt as much as a breakup. The thing is, being in the public eye makes it that much harder to go through. Not only is it a break up, but it a breakup everyone is watching and judging. That is the real kicker with celebrity breakups. We think our own breakups are hard, (and they are), but imagine what it would feel like going through one while under a microscope of all the world watching you. Thankfully, none of us are famous, and we are the ones holding the microscope.

That having been said, here are the ten most popular celebrity breakups from 2013, chosen by us and all of pop culture.

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom

If there is one couple that split in 2013 that people seemed to talk about more than any other, it was Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian. But had anyone else been in the same situation, they would have done the same thing that Khloe did. Lamar started reverting back to some of his old habits, and Khloe wanted nothing to do with that. Rumor is that Khloe may already be dating another high profile athlete, but we will save that for another list.

Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr

As lame as it will make us sound, these two were cute and we were rooting for them. Sadly, life happened. Nothing more serious than that. There was no huge fight. No cheating or relapses. Just two people who could not manage to make it work.  Rumor is they are still very close and there is no bad blood between them, though.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth

Right under Lamar and Khloe, he have Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus were the most talked about breakup in 2013. Thing is, how many people can really blame Liam here. Your once-sweet country girlfriend is suddenly out there completely changing her image.  I think most men would have had a similar reaction. Thing is, they both seem to be doing well for themselves, so maybe it was for the best. Honestly, relationships rarely survive wrecking balls.

I feel like that picture we are using for them makes this one feel even sadder. You all MUST remember this story, though. The one where Michael Douglas claimed he, well, you know what? Perhaps it would be a lot wiser for us to not touch this one.

Clint and Dina Eastwood

This one is tragic because these two fell apart after so many years of having one of the most successful marriages in Hollywood. The thing is, Clint Eastwood is the man, though, so you know he will be alright. The reality is, sometimes two people just drift apart after awhile. That is the sad reality of heartbreak. It knows no age limit.

Listen, I am sorry, but I am gonna go old school on this one. You just cannot tie a man like George Clooney down long term. That is just not in the cards. He is like one of the old “rat pack”. He does what he wants, when he wants, with whom he so chooses. It is part of his charm. You know by this time next year he will be on the list again.

They met on the show The Vampire Diaries, and hit it off immediately. These two then decided they didn’t care about the professionalism thing and jumped into a relationship together. Well, now they are broken up, yet still need to star along side each other. Awkward! No, but seriously, rumor is that these two have gone back to being great friends, so that’s legit.

Man, we cannot escape this family no matter how hard we try. But honestly, this split caught some people off guard. The truth was, these two love each other very much but just claim the spark isn’t there anymore. Hey, that happens to the best of us. With their money I am sure they wont have trouble finding someone who wants to spend some time with them. I sense a very young male model boyfriend in Kris’s future.

Yup, the on-again, off-again vampire duo of K-Stew and RPats finally called it quits for good this year. Showing us that even vampires can eventually get bored of each other. Will be really interesting to see who these two pair off with next.
