Teresa Giudice’s Husband Faces an Additional 12 Years in Prison
It’s time for your daily dose of Giudice; Teresa Giudice and her husband Joe are in the spotlight yet again just a week after they were both sentenced to prison for mortgage fraud, tax fraud and bankruptcy fraud. This time the news isn’t centered around how the reality star couple feels about their prison sentences or how they wish that they’d had better lawyers to get Teresa a more lenient sentence – preferably just probation. This time they’re talking about the fact that Joe Giudice is potentially headed to jail for an additional 12 years on top of the three-and-a-half he’s already been sentenced to serve.
“Don’t answer,” Teresa said to her husband after Andy Cohen asked him about the court date Joe Giudice faces next week for further sentencing on an unrelated charge. “He can’t talk about that,” she continued.
Joe Giudice is set to appear in court yet again on October 15 to address another legal issue in which he is embattled. The reality star was indicted in 2011 for attempting to secure a driver’s license using his brother’s identification – which is, of course, illegal. The star was living with a suspended license after he was arrested for a DUI at the time of this incident. During his hearing next week, Giudice could learn more about his fate in this matter, which could add up to 12 years to his current prison sentence.
The couple quickly closed down this line of questioning and moved on, admitting that their indictment and court case has killed their businesses. “This whole thing has killed everything,” said Joe of their ability to earn money in business. However, when asked if she could go back and re-do everything, Teresa didn’t dismiss the possibility of still becoming a reality television star. She did say, however, that she will not leave her husband when he’s serving his time in jail.
