Three Interesting Facts about The Vampire Diaries Star Steven McQueen
We all know and love Steven McQueen as the lovable and fierce Jeremy Gilbert on the Vampire Diaries, and reports that he’s no longer going to be part of the show have been difficult to listen to as they’ve been released. However, it appears that he’s decided to move on – or that someone has decided it’s time for him to move on. It’s been years since he made his debut as the youngest of the Gilbert siblings, and it’s been years that we’ve been watching him as he fights to keep his sanity and happiness after losing all the people he loves the most in the world. He’s lost his sister, several friends, several girlfriends and his parents and his character has been to many dark, dark places. Yet he’s always been so lovable. And the man who plays this character is lovable, too. Read on to find out a few things about Steven McQueen that you might not already know.
His Grandfather and Stepdad are Famous
He’s the grandson of the very famous Steve McQueen, legendary actor and beloved man. Additionally, he has a stepfather who is a retired NHL player. So he’s actually got two pretty famous ‘dads’, even if one of them is his stepfather and the other his grandfather. His grandmother was also pretty famous herself.
He’s Cousins with Enrique Iglesias
Talk about keeping the fame in the family. McQueen’s grandmother is Enrique Iglesias’ mother’s aunt. Do you follow? She’s the great aunt of Enrique, which makes these two second cousins. We have no idea if they spend any time together during the holidays, however, it is safe to say they both got the good looks in the family.
He’s Been Around
Before he was cast in TVD on the CW, he was a guest star on many different television shows, including shows such as CSI: Miami and Without a Trace. He was also a model for a while. All in all, he’s had a pretty successful career for someone who is only 26 as of today.
