10 Female Celebrities Who Decided to Marry Athletes

Not everyone in Hollywood wants to marry someone else in the same business. In fact, many of the biggest actresses in the game are not at all interested in men that have the same kind of job. Many of them are more into athletes, and for good reason. Nothing seems manlier than a man that plays a rugged sport, a man that has a real man’s man thing going on. I love an athlete, but I’m not sure I’d marry one. There seems to be too much at stake, including the amount of time he is on the road and the number male athletes that end up cheating on their wives because they are always on the road. Add a celebrity wife with a high-profile career of her own to handle and you have what might be a recipe for disaster. But, that does not stop female celebrities from marrying athletes. She chose to marry Mike Comrie, a hockey player. They had a little boy and now they’re separated. She’s the very conservative former co-host of “The View” and she always has something to say. She’s also a lovely woman, mother and the wife of a famous football player. She married Tim Hasselbeck back in 2002, and the duo has been married for more than 13 years now. That’s only three years longer than my husband and I are married.

The gorgeous actress married Rodney Peete 20 years ago, and the two are happier than ever. They have kids, a life, a home and they are making it work. Even with their oldest son’s diagnosis of autism at the age of three, these two are working through their marriage with happy smiles and what seems like a lot of mutual love.

The famous youngest Kardashian sister went and married the “love of her life” a few years ago after they’d been together all of a month. The couple did not wait to get to know each other any longer, and they shocked not only their families, but the world. Unfortunately, they should have waited. It turns out that Odom has some issues with drugs, and Kardashian is not interested in continuing to try and get him to change his ways. She gave up and divorced him last year.

She wanted to marry Reggie Bush, but it seemed that these two would never be. Then she decided to marry a basketball player that no one knew by the name of Chris Humphries a few years ago. They waited a little longer than sister Khloe to get married, but their marriage lasted just a few days longer than the time her sister dated her ex-husband. This couple was only married for 70-something days before they called it quits.

She married Jason Sehorn more than a decade ago. The couple was engaged during a surprise late night television proposal, and they are no longer together. The couple called it quits after 14 years of marriage in 2014, but they have seemed to keep their private business private. It’s not something many celebs are able to do in the real world; keep a marriage going and private until the very end.

You might not recognize her name so much as you recognize her face and her assets. She’s the famous Victoria’s Secret model that has the world wishing they looked more like her, and she’s married to Marko Jaric, NBA superstar. However, despite their best efforts the couple called it quits after more than five years married back in 2014. The couple remains very close and they have made a commitment to their family despite the fact that they no longer feel they can be married.
