10 Music Stars Who Are Horrible to Their Fans

Being successful in the music industry has to do with one thing and one thing only: fans. Sure, talent is important, but without fans artists would find themselves suddenly feeling less important. However, even with that being said there are still plenty of stars who refuse to treat their fans with respect. Although countless people show up at their shows and purchase their albums, these famous musicians just don’t seem to care – at all. Imagine what it must be like to finally get the chance to meet your favorite singer or rapper and have them totally ruin your idea of who they are. If anyone deserves to get booed off stage, it’s these ungrateful people. Here are 10 music stars who are horrible to their fans.

Meek Mill

BET Hip Hop Awards 2012 - Audience and Show

Meek Mill’s recent beef with rap superstar, Drake, proves that Meek can be a disrespectful dude. However, taking shots at someone in the industry is nothing compared to treating fans poorly.  Although Meek claims to love and appreciate his fans, there are rumors that he sometimes charges fans to take pictures with him, and when people refuse he simply tells them “no money, no picture.” Well, these days, he’ll be lucky if anyone wants to take a picture with him in the first place.

Tommy Lee

4th Annual Sunset Strip Music Festival - Tribute To Motley Crue

Tommy Lee may seem like a cool and laid back guy, but apparently he doesn’t take kindly to his fans wanting to take pictures with him and he also doesn’t believe he owes his fans anything.  In a Facebook rant, Lee expressed his annoyance with being asked to take pictures, and expressed that he doesn’t feel the need to show gratitude towards his fans.  Way to go, Tommy Lee.  Way to go.

Ariana Grande

2014 Billboard Music Awards - Show

Ariana Grande may look sweet and innocent, but looks can definitely be deceiving.  Since ditching acting to embark on a music career, Grande has built a reputation for being quite the little diva. Her behavior has often be a turnoff to fans and caused her a lot of criticism in the media. However, Grande’s diva behavior also includes being rude to her fans. Over the last several years there have been stories all over the Internet of Grande’s alleged disrespectful behavior towards her fans.  According to one source, Grande once stated that she wished her fans would die. She also reportedly bailed on a fan that she was supposed to have out with last year before the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs)

Justin Bieber

In recent years, Justin Bieber has proven that he’s no longer the sweet little kid people originally fell in love with.  These days, the Biebs seems to be more interested in seeing how obnoxious he can be. Although Bieber has one of the most dedicated fan bases in the business, there have been several instances where he’s seemed irritated that his fans wanted to be around him in public. According to sources, Bieber referred to one of his fans as a ‘beached whale’, and has been known to refuse to sign autographs.

Fred Durst

Everybody deserves a little personal space, but Limp Bizkit front man, Fred Durst, should probably learn of a more polite way to ask.  After inviting fans in Russia to join him on stage, Durst exploded on a fan who attempted to grab his hat. Apparently, Durst went off and began swearing at the fan asking him to get his hands off of him immediately.

Chris Brown

57th GRAMMY Awards - Arrivals

Be honest, you’re probably not too surprised to see Chris Brown on this list. Over the years, he has proven time and time again that he has very little respect for others, and it’s no surprise that his fans fall into that category. In 2013, Brown made headlines after punching a male fan who photo-bombed a picture he was taking.  Apparently, Brown felt like the man interrupting his picture was “gay” and punched him in the face to show that he wasn’t “down” with it.  Brown was eventually charged with assault and did a stint in both jail and rehab because of it.

Christina Aguilera

Over the course of her career, Christina Aguilera has been accused of being downright mean. The pop superstar was once known for her stellar voice, but these days it seems like her bad attitude has gotten her more attention. Actor Daniel Franzese who sang Aguilera’s hit song, “Beautiful,” in the film Mean Girls said that she was extremely rude to him when they met and he couldn’t believe it. He may have been a fan before that, but the meeting left a bad taste in his mouth.

Rihanna

Rihanna has absolutely no problem putting people in their place. While some people wish their favorite singers would acknowledge them on social media, Rihanna’s fans know that it’s actually better to go unnoticed with the star. Rihanna has been known to GO OFF on fans who she feels are disrespecting her via social media. On several occasions, Rihanna has directly mentioned fans who have left comments that she didn’t appreciate.

Jennifer Lopez

The PEOPLE Magazine Awards - Arrivals

Jennifer Lopez may like to pretend that she’s still Jenny from the block, but anyone with eyes can see that Jennifer Lopez is a completely different person. Lopez may smile and seem polite, but apparently she’s got another side. According to stories, Lopez had a hotel maid fired after the women asked for Lopez’ autograph while at work. Although Lopez denied the claims (obviously), everyone seems to be convinced that Lopez would do something like that.

Kanye West

Kanye West may be a musical genius, but he’s also known for being pretty obnoxious.  While Kanye’s rude behavior usually doesn’t include fans, in 2014 he reminded everyone why there are so many people who don’t like him.  During a show, Kanye insisted that a fan in a wheel chair stand up while he performed. Apparently, Kanye even went as far as to have his body-guard verify that the fan was unable to walk.  Yeah, probably not the best way to win over fans.
