5 Beyonce Quotes That Will Change Your Life
Beyonce is arguably the brightest star this era has ever seen. The 33 year old singer, songwriter, and actress has been entertaining fans worldwide since she first appeared on the scene in 1997 as a member of the all-girl R&B group Destiny’s Child. While still with the group, Beyonce released her debut solo album, Dangerously in Love in 2003 and for the last 11 years she has maintained an amazingly successful solo career and has gone on to win 14 Grammys; not including the three she won as a member of Destiny’s Child. This year has been especially successful for the multi talented artist. She has gone on a world wide tour with husband and frequent collaborator, Jay-Z, received MTV’s prestigious Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, and seen her self titled fifth studio album sell three million copies. However, even with a level of success that many artists will never attain, Beyonce has remained a positive and gracious public figure. While Beyonce is no stranger to providing her fans with kind remarks and words of inspiration, here are the best Beyonce quotes of 2014.
5. “Flawless”
Beyonce’s hit single, Flawless, was released in August 2014 and has given the word new life. Thanks to Beyonce, the word flawless has been integrated into many people’s every day conversation; most often being used to describe their physical appearance.
4. “…We are all the same and we all want the same things: the right to be happy, to be just who we want to be and to love who we want to love…”
Earlier this year Beyonce graced the cover of Out Magazine. When she was asked about the message she wants her new album to give listeners she expressed that she wanted her album to be universally relatable.
3. “Discipline, patience, control, truth, risk, and effortlessness were all things I thought about while I was putting this album together. I was recording, shooting videos, and performing on the tour every night, all at the same time. At some point, I felt like, What am I doing? Is this too ambitious? Even the day the record was to be released, I was scared to death. But I also knew if I was that scared, something big was about to happen.”
Beyonce’s success can largely be attributed to her non stop work ethic. Although she often has multiple projects happening at once, it is clear that she is the kind of person who won’t rest until her work is done.
2. “I have nothing to say but I am filled with so much gratitude.”
After being presented with MTV’s Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award Beyonce, who was accompanied by her husband and young daughter, seemed to be so overjoyed that she was at a loss for words.
1. “I just thank God for this moment. I love you all so much. Blue, I love you. My beloved, I love you.”
At the 2014 VMAs, Beyonce ended her impromptu acceptance speech with a heartfelt address to Jay-Z and Blu Ivy.
