Barbara Walters Announces 4 of 10 Most Fascinating People of the Year
There is no bigger sign that the year is rapidly coming to a close than the moment that Barbara Walters chooses her 10 most fascinating people (especially now that Christmas décor begins making its appearance in July). Walters hasn’t chosen all 10 of the people she finds most fascinating for the year, but she has chosen a few. Anyone hoping to make the cut has about two months to hurry up and do something, say something, or be something fascinating. So who did the legendary journalist choose this year? Scarlett Johansson, for one.
Other famous names that already made the list include the world famous talk show host, Oprah Winfrey, Chelsea Handler and Neil Patrick Harris. Each has had a big year, a busy year and a memorable year that made an impact on the general public as well as on Walters herself. And she’s not just excited about the people on her list, she’s also excited about the fact that ABC has approached her to continue on with her tradition of interviewing 10 incredibly fascinating people at the end of the year.
“I was absolutely delighted when ABC approached me to do another year of ’10 Most Fascinating People’. I know we said last year was our last, but there are just too many fascinating people out there…and you never pass up the opportunity to interview Oprah, Neil, Chelsea or Scarlett,” Walters said in a statement when she announced the four personalities she’s already chosen.
To find out who the journalist will choose to fill the other six spots on her list, fans will want to tune into the show on December 14 when it airs on ABC at 9 pm. With the year that this world has had, it’s sure to be an interesting culmination of celebrities, important people and big names in the news.
