On top of that, they probably want a weekly check. Well, guess what pop star is joining the ranks of “celebrities on Broadway”? Don’t answer. We know you know the answer from the title of the article and that’s cheating. Yup, Carly Rae Jepsen is playing Cinderella on Broadway.

I really want to make a bad “Call Me Maybe” joke here, but I need to fight that urge. I know every hack journalist between here and Canada is going to do the same thing, so best to just avoid it. The singer claims she has wanted to be on Broadway since she was a child, and is beyond ecstatic about it. Cinderella is like every young girl’s dream role, so we imagine right now, Carly Rae is doing all she can to properly prepare herself for the insane pace that Broadway shows tend to keep.
