Which Celebrities Attended George Clooney’s Weekend Wedding?

It was star-studded weekend in Venice, Italy as the world’s most famous people gathered for the biggest wedding of the year. George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin finally wed, and the beautiful city was full of their most famous friends. The bride arrived in Italy on Thursday and set off speculation that this was the big weekend for the wedding. When the rest of Hollywood began to show up on Friday, it was all but confirmed that the couple would exchange their vows over the weekend.

So, who makes it onto the guest list of the world’s second most famous couple (we’re thinking of Kate and William as the world’s most famous couple)? A lot of big names, that’s who makes it onto the list. Some of the men and women with whom Clooney has worked in the past made the guest list. Among the famous guests in the lovely city for Clooney’s wedding are Matt Damon and his wife, Luciana, Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber and Miguel Ferrer. Other guests included John Krasinski and his wife Emily Blunt, Ellen Barkin and Gabriel Byrne, Richard Kind and Grant Heslov, who is Clooney’s producer partner.

Many of the guests stayed at the Belmond Hotel Cipriani, where the newlyweds also stayed. They were spotted on Friday evening having cocktails and dining at the hotel. The famous faces in the city weren’t the only guests in town for the couple’s nuptials. Their families were also there. Amal’s sister was spotted with several other wedding guests having drinks and dinner at one of Clooney’s favorite restaurants in the city. The city is not immune to famous visitors, and many wonder if this wedding could possibly outdo the wedding of Salma Hayek, as sources say that all of Hollywood was in town to celebrate her big day.
