Celebrities Who Have Gone with a Cropped Hairstyle

Backstage - 24th Annual GLAAD Media Awards

One of the easiest ways to instantly and dramatically alter your look? – cut off your longer locks and replace it with a chic, cropped look. Countless female stars have turned to this move for a refreshing and brave new style. And because these ladies are all so gorgeous, their new cropped hairstyles all look fantastic. A close-cut style highlights one’s features in a way that no other style can. There’s no hiding behind long bangs or a hair flip. Their faces are front-row-and-center, a place these celebrities are used to being.

Making the cut is a huge change. Make sure you are at least ninety percent ready to do it when you go for the plunge (it’s most likely a small percentage of woman who are one hundred percent, completely ready to do it when they decide to go through with it!). But there’s no better way to turn heads, make an impact, and show off both your stuff and your confidence than with a cropped hair do. It doesn’t get any better in the hot weather either! These beautiful ladies have all faced the scissors and cut off their longer locks.

Kaley Cuoco

The Big Bang Theory star is the most recent famous face to change up her look completely with a new cropped do. She did it in two stages – a chopped up to her ears hairstyle to a very recent short, choppy one. Kaley cited fellow actress Michelle Williams as her inspiration for her new pixie cut. Cuoco, who just recently signed a contract giving her and her fellow Big Bang leads $1 million per episode, had long, beachy waves before. Her pixie cut is so new that it’s hard to find pictures other than on her Instagram (name: Norman Cook, named after her dog. Cute!).

Jennifer Lawrence

The Hunger Games star and Oscar-winning actress had definitely one of the most famous haircuts ever when she cut off her hair into a choppy, sideswept pixie cut. Jennifer was well-known for having long, blonde hair earlier in her career but then she started experimenting with colors and cut it first into a shorter collarbone length cut. Jennifer looks amazing and confident in any hairstyle.

A video tape went viral that shows the actress crying as she gets the majority of her hair cut off. Unsurprisingly, the Divergent star looks great no matter what.

Emma’s long hair was necessary for her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films. Once filming wrapped on the last movie, she chopped her hair into a dramatic pixie cut. She’s been letting it grow out ever since but that took killer confidence!  No matter what hairstyle Watson has, she’s always going to be stunning but it’s nice to know she can pull off the short cut as well.  Is there anything she can’t do?
