Chris Harrison is an American television host with an estimated net worth of $10 million. He was born on July 26, 1971 in Dallas, Texas. Surprisingly, we don’t know all that much about Chris Harrison as a child, but we do know that he has always been a child who wanted to be successful and wanted to live out his dreams as he got older. He lived with his parents, but we have no idea if they are married, alive or divorced or if they have passed since he’s been an adult. However, we do know that he’s been working on a career in Hollywood since 1993. He went to college, too. He was an athlete in high school in Texas, and he was given a scholarship to go to Oklahoma City University to play soccer.
While in college, Chris Harrison met a woman by the name of Gwen. They began dating and they were college sweethearts. The two tied the knot in 1993. They were married until 2012 when they shocked the world by announcing that their marriage was over and that they were separating. To this day their divorce is not quite final but they are not together and there is no news of reconciliation between the two. He has two children with his soon-to-be ex-wife. Their names are Joshua and Taylor.
When he graduated from college, Chris Harrison began his work in television. He was a sports reporter for a CBS affiliate in Oklahoma City for several years. He was there until 1999 working on that, and working for a few other things, such as hosting the “Designer’s Challenge,” show on HGTV. He began to dream bigger dreams at that point, knowing that he could make it bigger in Hollywood as a television host than he could in the local news reporting on sports or even the other happenings in the world.
That’s when he began to work in Hollywood. In 2002 he was a guest star on a show called “Sabrina the Teenage Witch,” and then he began to make connections in the industry. He was then contacted to begin hosting awards shows and other things on television. His career really took off, though, when he was recruited to become the host of one of the most popular reality television shows in the world. In 2002 he began telling the world about the most dramatic rose ceremonies in the history of television when he first hosted The Bachelor. The premise of the show was to take a man and put him into a house with 25 women all looking for love. They gave out roses, they found love, and things didn’t work out. ABC thought the show was such a big hit that they then began to allow the women from previous seasons to make an appearance looking for men, and The Bachelorette was born. Now if it’s related to a bachelor or bachelorette, Chris Harrison hosts it. It’s made him famous, and he might have one of the most recognizable voices in the industry.
