Sarah Palin Net Worth

Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin is an American politician with an estimated net worth of $12 million. Born on February 11, 1964, she is from Sandpoint, Idaho. She was born to Sally and Chuck Heath, a school secretary and a teacher and track coach. She is the third of four kids, and she was raised in Alaska after her family made a big move when she was only a few months old. She has lived in the same small community most all of her life, where her father taught and her mother was the secretary of the small school there. Her childhood was a very casual one. In Alaska there is a lot of outdoor sports and activity and many people spend their entire lives hunting, learning to fish and spending time in nature. It’s cold, but there’s a lot to do there.

When she was in high school, she was in the band and she was an athlete. She was well-rounded and very successful at anything that she did, and she was an excellent student. She was the 1984 winner of the Miss Wasilla Beauty pageant in her small town, and she went on to receive a college scholarship for her win. She attended the University of Hawaii her first semester and then transferred to Idaho her second semester. She spent her time in college switching schools almost every semester so that she could live all over the world, including spending a semester in Moscow. She finally obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in communications from the University of Idaho in 1986. She had a minor in journalism.

Sarah Palin began her professional career as a sportscaster in Alaska. She eloped in 1988 with her high school sweetie – Todd Palin – and became a mother the following year. Her husband owns a commercial fishing business. In 1992, Sarah Palin made the decision to run for her city council, and she won. She was then determined to become the Mayor of the small town in which she lived, becoming elected in 1996. From there, she went on to run for governor. She was not successful at first, but she was eventually elected in 2006 for the position.

She decided she would not run for re-election in 2009, and she announced her plan to run for Vice President of the United States alongside John McCain. They did not win the presidential election, but she was then thrust so far into the spotlight that she became an instant celebrity. Her daughter became a pregnant teenager during the election, which was controversial for a Republican candidate. Since the election, Sarah Palin has signed a multi-year contract with Fox News to work for them, she’s written a number one best-selling book and she’s earning most of her money from those endeavors as well as her political career, though her husband makes a decent living in his line of work, too. There is some speculation that she might eventually run for office again, but there is no official announcement from her or her camp confirming this information.
