Why are People Comparing Penelope Cruz To a Pair of Feet?

Actress Penelope Cruz has been the center of a strange mystery ever since she made her first on-screen appearance in 1991. In 2014, Esquire Magazine dubbed Cruz the sexiest woman alive.  The magazine cited Cruz’ combination of humility and good looks as the key factors to her overall sex appeal. However, many people have openly debated the subject of Cruz’ looks.  While many have hailed Cruz for her beauty, others have regarded her as strange-looking – even ugly.  For years, online forums have been discussing whether or not Cruz is actually as beautiful as many media outlets have said.  Several Twitter users have taken the discussion one step further by claiming that Cruz looks more like a foot than a famous Hollywood actress.  Here are three tweets from people who believe that Penelope Cruz looks like a pair of feet.

All across the internet, there are people debating whether or not Penelope Cruz resembles a foot.  Although the jury is still out, Cruz’ looks don’t appear to be the only ones in question. Fortunately for Cruz, she has made it clear in the past that she isn’t as concerned with her looks as some people may think.  While shooting Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Cruz stated: “I’m not scared to be ugly when I work — so I often ask for more mustache or black bags under my eyes.”

Like Cruz, most people would consider actress Jennifer Garner to be attractive.  However, Twitter user, @ChemicalCircus, likens both women to a foot which – even with the world’s greatest pedicure – can’t be a good thing.

Although telling someone they resemble a foot will probably be considered an insult, suggesting that a unit of measure be changed in honor of them is actually a great complement.  Going off of @ChemicalCircus’ new measurement system, Penelope Cruz herself is 5.6 Penelope Cruzes.
